Well hey, I got a private message lastnite from some kid about a relationship question. I accidentally deleted it when going through my p/m's, so I wrote her and told her I was sorry. She wrote me back and told me that it was a snub because I didn't ask her what she had asked me. Oh well, what do you do? Lol I didn't respond... that's what I did! Lol

That's nothing. Some girl pmed me and alty about her problem... alty responded, I told her that I'd read it when I had time (it was a novel)... and I told her I'd get back to her that night.

    ... never did.

Due to the restricted nature of the international rice market (less than 6% of global production) and to the residual character of exchanges (producing countries produce first and foremost for their own consumption), international prices are extremely volatile.

International market is not influenced by referential prices, or by "Chicago Board of Trade" (CBOT) futures quotations - which have no liquidity. There are few regular publications that indicate current price levels.

It is still possible to have an idea of the long-term evolution of rice prices by observing the market of Thai White Rice, 5% Broken. In fact, this type of rice was chosen as a reference for a futures market in Bangkok which is scheduled to open at the end of 2003.

It should be noted that there is a weak correlation between the high-quality low-quality rice markets. They often move in the same direction (e.g. both of them fell in 2000), however low-quality rice prices tend to fall more. The intensity of price fluctuations depends on specific demands for each type of rice.

In many countries, the only available prices are domestic ones which indicate the prices that buyers are willing to pay growers.

In the case of export prices, the correlation between the different origins is relatively high for those countries that do not interfere or regulate prices

It's a pretty popular question... I'm not sure why.

Anyway, I found the above response on a Yahoo answers site... so I take no credit for it. I didn't even read it.

So have you applied for med school? We all need more good Doc's. What do you intend to specialize in?

Can I get you boys a drink? I'm going for a coffee... maybe a dash of Bailey's! Don't want to miss last call, and I still have to clean chicken sh!t off the floor I think... phhfffttt!

I intend to specialize in orthopedic surgery (anyone need a kneecap/hip replacement? It's on the house... special alty's pub discount)

I have not applied yet. I will be taking my mcats September then applying. In the meanwhile, working in research for a year.

You're kidding me right? I'm on a waiting list for a hip replacement... how ironic is that? I injured my hip yrs ago, and started having probs with it just a couple yrs back. Some good days, and some not so good days. Been on pain meds, as well as other herbals and vitamins that keeps it from being too painful most days. I'm terrified of the surgery though.

Don't worry too much about the surgery... medicine's come a long way.

I've sat in on more hip replacements than I can remember... and 99% of the time, it went smoothly with no complications.

If you want to wait around (... 5 - 6 years), then I can help you out ;)

Haha... don't think it will hold up quite that long. It ticks me off because you usually hear about people in their 70's or 80's needing that kind of surgery. Any tips for holding out till surgery? New meds or vitamins that would be helpful? Already doing the glucosamine/condroiton, calcium... all the no brainer stuff. Arthritis is a prob now too!

Just a minute... think I'll have another shot first, lol

There you go. The best medicine.

Have you tried some physical therapy? People usually kick it off to homeopathic medicine, but I've seen hot water (jacuzzi) therapy work on a lot of patients with joint pain and muscle pain.

I've tried some physio, never hot water therapy though. I've tried laser therapy too. Expensive, and didn't seem to help much. Maybe I'll check into the jacuzzi thing! Hey, do you think Alty would let us have one in the pub? :D

Mornin', everyone. Where should have the guys set the jacuzzi? The hospital bought new ones, so I grabbed one of the old ones. I'm thinkin' hot tubs and paraffin dips too. Maybe an Olympic-size pool and heated towels in the basement? Whaddya think?

Sweeet... I love hot tubs. Bubbles. Bubbles.

I woke up to a scent that's too familiar. You see... I went out last night and got back around 3ish. I went to bed around 430am... and didn't wake up until 9. The thing is, my dog (pictured on my avatar) is a bit temperamental and will get pissy if I don't wake up at 730am to walk her. She can hold her pee/poo perfectly fine for 10 - 12 hours, but she just doesn't to spite me.

I woke up to a nice pile right in the middle of my room. Thanks lily. Thanks.

It's a muggy day here in atl... I'm off to sbucks to do some work. How's everyone?

Sorry starbuck, but I ran out of chocolate to throw on the floor last night. I'll bring some back tonight.

    $100 cover charge.

It's weird, but whenever you charge people extraordinary amounts of money for something that's so ordinary... people flock to it.

An organ grinder and a monkey? Alty will be so surprised with what we've done to the place! Hope she doesn't mind that we took the float from the till!

Yes, a large cover chrg! Perfect! What about our dress code? We might need a coat check girl too!

Alty's Pub and Day Spa? Whaddya think? Or Alty's Pub and Club? Hmmmmm. Or Alty's Pub and Chicken Ranch?

What do people flock to and will spend big bucks on for entertainment?

And we could create a Peep Diorama like these http://www.twincities.com/ci_8641453 and draw crowds!!

Haha... I like the chicken ranch idea! It would get people a wondering what kind of place this is that has a $100 cover and a chicken ranch. Intriguing!

How about we build an indoor beach instead of the pool... we could get a wave machine and get the surfers in too! No Speedo's allowed, lol

Hey! An indoor beach sounds great! My brothers still live just south of Lake Ontario and could send us however much sand we need! We could do bonfires and clambakes and swimsuit contests! Wow!

Cool! Nice warm sand! Maybe a calypso band on the beach, and we could round up some people to fan us with palm leaves! :) Clam bakes and a grill... we could do shrimps on the barby. We might need a wind machine for a nice warm breeze!
