I thought it was an igloo! If I had known it was a rock I would have come to this conclusion many posts ago. Just fyi. ;)

But I will agree that at times, I am hard work. But that's why I'm interesting and special (don't even say it, I didn't mean that kind of special!) ;)

On a side note, and I bet you don't know this, there is now enough snow in my yard to build an igloo. Did you know that? No? Well, join me under the rock. ;)

I was down too. No damage here, in fact, the storm didn't seem all that bad. It was enough to bring some trees and wires down. Lost power at 7pm on Monday and just got it back this morning.

LIPA just announced power to be restored by 11/7 11PM FAH!

Temperature inside house was 51 this morning.

And to add insult to injury. I even lost power on my car key fob. I can't do a remote start and have to open the car door with the key.

Are you at home, Scott, or at a motel somewhere?

Nope. I'm making do with fleece and down comforters.

Right now, I'm at my second job at a Best Buy.

Update, LisaB got power back on Thursday.

Day 9! No power yet and not likely to see a spark for a few more days. There are wires on the ground behind my house and I don't see them working on them until after the storm due today passes. So much for the promise to restore by 11pm 11/7.

I have never felt so powerless in my life! There is no one I can call or talk to who can (or will) give me any information or do anything for me.

I know there are people worse off than us, but that just doesn't help anymore when I feel that LIPA and so many others in the bureaucracy don't give a damn about us.

Even rural NW NJ has power now. I cannot imagine NINE days (and more) without electricity. You have my prayers it will be restored very soon.

Its sleeting here now.

Finally got power last evening around 6:30. Still no cable, net or phone. But at least we've come in out of the cold.

Yay, Scott! My friend in NW NJ (Sussex County) finally got power too. I've thought about you a lot.

Phone service (Verizon) was restored by a patch Sunday afternoon. Still no cable/internet.
