Pizza does sound good. But I am full. I don't think I can eat for another 2 or 3 weeks. So many good people cook such good food during such times.

Oh, boy our fridge is full. I think I'll stay here till the food is gone. Not looking forward to going back to that heat and humidity.

Well, the food is primarily gone so we will be having bar-b-que chicken and baked potatoes tonight for dinner.

I should be off for home on Friday. Keep your fingers crossed.

    You know... it is weird.

When my dad died and people brought food they brought things like brownies, pasta, meat trays- I live in Western NY.

But when my husband's brother died people brought fried chicken, donuts, more fried chicken, and nachos. He lived in VA...

Amazing the differences in the food just in an 8 hour drive...

I am not sure why I bring this up... but it was a discussion among my mom, my husband, and I when we were in VA.

That's how it is done in the South. At my dad's funeral there was so much food. No one comes to pay respects without a covered dish.

I swear the first thing I do when a friend's love one has died is make something... because you can't go over there empty handed. Imagine the horror :0

My dad frequented a restaurant many times before he died. When he passed that restaurant closed down for the day and we had the after services thingie there. It was equipped with a bar... so my dad was happy I am sure :). Can't be without those Genny Lites

    NowWhat
Any time someone passed in my family - the amount of food is crazy. We had everything under the sun. We had the ladies of the church come in and serve the food after the memorial service. I mean, it is crazy. Appreciated, but crazy.
After my aunt passed, we had the normal set up and then one of my mom's friends sent a honeybaked ham with everything you would need - just for us. It was so good.
Funny, the things you remember. I probably couldn't tell you much about her service - but I remember that ham.
    Is that sad or what!

I heard there was a new BC pill that will stop your period. Anyone know anything about that? Sounds like a dream.

I think I have heard of that - but what is the trade off. No period, but you are going to gain A lot of weight. Some months, I think that might be a fair trade off!

I have got to pack for vacation. We will be gone for 3 weeks! It sounds good, but with gas prices here and all the stuff I have to anticipate and pack for...

    ARG!

I wish I could just pack flip flops and tank tops! But, I am in a wedding right in the middle of that 3 weeks - so I have to pack all this stuff for that.

    Again, ARG!

I have heard of that one. I think it is called Yaz, but I am not sure. I will be learning plenty of it next semester as that semester concentrates on gynecology and obstetrics. I understand I will have one complete test on birth control.
