Do I really have to go grocery shopping today?? Uhhhh... this heat is killing me...
Nope, Dominoes delivers!
Mmmmmmmm I wαnt pizzα!!
Pizza does sound good. But I am full. I don't think I can eat for another 2 or 3 weeks. So many good people cook such good food during such times.
Oh, boy our fridge is full. I think I'll stay here till the food is gone. Not looking forward to going back to that heat and humidity.
--lucky duck
All in what you consider lucky Sarai. I guess having free food is lucky, but under the circumstances...
cαn you cook for me:p
I would love to as I love to cook. But I am sure you don't want tears mixed in with your food right now. LOL
αww- why would you cry?
Just means it's cooked with love J... I have to bake cookies tonight... Besides I don't think the twins can have pizza.
Teehee:) -- well lαdies I'm off to get some chinese:p t2ul xoxoxox
J_9 is referring to the food folks bring after a funeral, Sarai.
Omgsh I αm such αn idiot-- sorry j_9 -- I'm gonnα kick myself now
I had some General Tso's for lunch today - yum
Sarai, it is okay. Don't kick yourself, let me do it for you. LOL, just kidding I could never kick anything but a tire.
Well, the food is primarily gone so we will be having bar-b-que chicken and baked potatoes tonight for dinner.
I should be off for home on Friday. Keep your fingers crossed.
You know... it is weird.
When my dad died and people brought food they brought things like brownies, pasta, meat trays- I live in Western NY.
But when my husband's brother died people brought fried chicken, donuts, more fried chicken, and nachos. He lived in VA...
Amazing the differences in the food just in an 8 hour drive...
I am not sure why I bring this up... but it was a discussion among my mom, my husband, and I when we were in VA.
Its amazing that they bring food full stop, here your expected to do all that yourself
OMG, we had spaghetti, jambalya, cole slaw, baked beans, ham, on and on and on and on.
I have been eating non-stop. Specially the scalloped potatoes. LOL
Blimey a feast fit for a king that's quite something, I'm sure your dad would have been proud :D
Yeah, he would have been full too. LOL
That's how it is done in the South. At my dad's funeral there was so much food. No one comes to pay respects without a covered dish.
Hehehehehe bless him bet you ate his share though ;)
I swear the first thing I do when a friend's love one has died is make something... because you can't go over there empty handed. Imagine the horror :0
My dad frequented a restaurant many times before he died. When he passed that restaurant closed down for the day and we had the after services thingie there. It was equipped with a bar... so my dad was happy I am sure :). Can't be without those Genny Lites
I think my husbαnd is gonnα hαve to fαke his deαth-- αll thαt food sounds glorious!!
Oh, but Sarai, remember what happened to the boy who cried wolf.
Trust me I won't cry if it reαlly did hαppen
Any time someone passed in my family - the amount of food is crazy. We had everything under the sun. We had the ladies of the church come in and serve the food after the memorial service. I mean, it is crazy. Appreciated, but crazy.
After my aunt passed, we had the normal set up and then one of my mom's friends sent a honeybaked ham with everything you would need - just for us. It was so good.
Funny, the things you remember. I probably couldn't tell you much about her service - but I remember that ham.
Is that sad or what!
I am still waiting on my blood test results. I should know by lunch time.
I have my fingers crossed for you Tuscany. You know what I always say, one hand only, two hands is bad luck.
Just heard... boy they were quick... Not pregnant.
Now to just figure out why I have missed my last 2 periods...
I heard there was a new BC pill that will stop your period. Anyone know anything about that? Sounds like a dream.
I think I have heard of that - but what is the trade off. No period, but you are going to gain A lot of weight. Some months, I think that might be a fair trade off!
I have got to pack for vacation. We will be gone for 3 weeks! It sounds good, but with gas prices here and all the stuff I have to anticipate and pack for...
ARG!
I wish I could just pack flip flops and tank tops! But, I am in a wedding right in the middle of that 3 weeks - so I have to pack all this stuff for that.
Again, ARG!
I have heard of that one. I think it is called Yaz, but I am not sure. I will be learning plenty of it next semester as that semester concentrates on gynecology and obstetrics. I understand I will have one complete test on birth control.
You'll have to test us, J_9, to see if we really know as much as we think we do!
Oh, won't that be a great new thread? LOL
All of us can learn what I am learning then we can help here better!!
Yeah, so when the 15 year old ask if she is pregnant - we will know what to say! :)
"no you αren't stop being so #@$#@%#@ drαmαtic" :p
Going anywhere fun, NW?
Well, our first stop is Myrtle beach, sc for a week, then to Charleston, sc for a week and finally Florida for a week.
