Hmmm... She isn't going somewhere. She has school and work. My brother and his wife and my friend and his wife are going on vacation and me and her planned on going too but then she said she has school and work so she can't but I can go if I want... I really want to go

No, it's funny because when I was wanting to go to a Colts game last weekend she offered to pay for the ticket. There was more to that story but no, she won't be paying for it except the money she already pays me.

I'd say there is nothing wrong if she isn't paying... its not like you are married yet or anything. Afterwards... its a whole different thing.

But if she is getting uppity... you may want to take her, if she's worth having around.

That seems fair enough. I will be with friends and family for this vacation and I will more than likely be taking another vacation in the summer with her so I hope she understands.

    Yep...

Saying that it is 'ok' doesn't always mean that it is OK.

I know, I just tried to trick my mind into thinking it was. I know what OK really means from a woman.

Thanks everyone. Sunny, you're right. Out of all the days to think about going skating, it is strange that yesterday was the day we discussed it. Must have been a hint. ;)

Of course I posted yesterday and then seconds later my internet died. It's just been restored. Maybe that was my dad as well, telling me not to dwell on it. :)

Next anniversary isn't until July 30, that will be 10 years for my mom. I get 6 1/2 months to recoup. ;)

I'm totally with Alty! You guys have been together way too long to exclude her! Unless she begs you to go with out here, I wouldn't. Just sayin',,

Adam I have to put my two cents in. Depends on the vacation. If your heading to a cabin for some wild moose hunting or something your on your own. If its some Carnival Cruise you better cover your jewels. Just saying.

    Thanks Sunny.

Well, it seems I have had a little relapse, going to the doctor today (again, third time). He was telling me that he has given me two strong prescriptions so far, I may end up in the hospital for a while... :(

Oh Stringer I am sorry. What is it that you have? My husband just went through that last week. He had a cough, terrible, made him hunched right over the toilet at times. Well three appointments later in the same week and I have no idea how many presriptions he is finally back at work after over 10 days home. It wasn't good.

Stringer that's what he had, bronchitis. But we caught it on time before it got worse. I had that pretty bad myself a few years back. Its not fun. Take care of yourself. If you have to be in the hospital then so be it. Get better.

Got to take care of that... or it will take care of you.

Not something to fool with. I've known a couple people that keeled over dead from walking pneumonia they didn't know they had.

Are you a smoker Stringer ? If you are I guess you have heard this before, but maybe time to throw that pack away and get your lungs back in shape. I am sorry to hear you are under the weather, very uncomfortable to have that condition. Update when you can please. Hugs.

Sadly yes I smoke. I am going to start Chantix again after this is over. Although I am not smoking much at all presently, it hurts too much.

It seems that all I want to do is stay in bed and sleep/rest, so weak. But this coughing is something that a chemist would have a ball diagnosing... strange.

    I'll get over this, promise.

Nothing touched my husbands cough. He still has it mildly but its not knocking him down. Scares me. He also is diabetic. Has been for 32 years. Good luck Stringer. Get to the hospital if that's what they are suggesting. You know we all like to nag here with worry.

    Thanks for caring.

He has to take care of himself when he is sick especially being a diabetic, I have diabetes also.

I do remember you saying you were diabetic. Only pills right now? Your not on insulin? He has been on the pump for maybe 5 years now. Best thing he has ever done.

Diabetes is auto immune disease, so when you get a hit with something like this, it is hard to recover quickly. I am diabetic too, one metformin a day and just got a good bill of health from my doctor at my six months check up. I am happy about that. Unfortunately, a lot of my clients are diabetics and having trouble in old age with renal failure, dialysis, etc. but only because when they were a bit younger, diabetes wasn't treated or dia gnosed the same way.

Get that immune system up and running properly my friend !

I am not 100% sure what he is on. I was so good for a long time knowing in case I needed to. But at this point I just know how to test his blood sugar if I need to. Which I have needed to. Was a scary time.

Stringer, I hope you feel better soon! Please quit smoking as soon as you can. When I had pneumonia, I was in hospital for 3 weeks! The doctor said if I could get up and walk around a little each day it would help with the coughing as well as the pneumonia. Make sure to stay away from the cough medicine.

I hope you feel better soon, you'll be in my thoughts!

Thanks Bella, I hae my third appointment with my doctor this Monday at 8:30 AM, we'll see. I plan on taking it easy this weekend though.

My doctor also has me on Mucunex DM.I have finished both of the antibiotics he prescribed.

That scares me that he has you taking DM, only because a friend of mine who had pneumonia was taking cough medicine with DM, and his lungs were closing up, he was literally being smothered to death. He is okay now, but I just worry! And a member here (I'll let them name them selves) was using cough medicine, and ended up with pneumonia pretty bad! She had me worried for a while too. She quit smoking, and she was a CHAIN smoker (Sorry :) )! *Hint, hint* ;)

    Please keep us posted!

Yes, to both of you and good advice bella about the DM. I had answered a post a week ago about this and antibiotics. Doctors in my area here are very cautious of prescribing antibiotics or cough medicine for pneumonia, and TB is on the rise again. There was a real epidemic in the martimes l00 years ago and patients were sent to the mountains for fresh air and sleeping outdoors. That sort of 'natural medicine' is still prescribed after all this time.

Stringer has his finger on his treatment plan, don't you string.

I am sure you have heard enough of this today, sorry.

I just got my first reddie the other day. Funny it made me laugh. I always thought I was going to be crushed but I just shrugged. I more then expected it. From a kid. Surprise.
