Saw the photoshopped pix's, but haven't been back to see what Crigby replied 'bout the weak return spring, If SO needs to make it a little tighter, cut a loop off spring, an bend up a new loop to hook.

Hello again Steve!

I had no problem with the gravity questions, but with the Hooke's Law chapter, which is on elastics, springs, etc. There was a graph of strain against stress, and I forgot what the area under the curve was. I missed another one, about finding the root mean square speed of four molecules, I was getting 147.3 and there were none in the answers. Later, I realised that all the values given were to 2 significant figures, and so was the answer, 150. And, of course, many more.

I love it!

Gives me an idea actually.. hmmmm.

Hey unky... that post just went over my head,but I was wondering what you intended to study and eventually become,work wise?

It seems you have a great head for maths... please tell me your going to be a rocket scientist!

Lol! I don't know yet exactly what I'll be doing. I wonder at times why we do study those, if only a small part of them are really going to be useful later on...

If in 20 years your up on everest and have to do some serious calculations to get a group of siberian husky children to the camp site 2000 feet below,using only a fork and a tea towel... if will def come in handy!

Well, even there, I doubt that those will come in handy. The more useful part I think would be about thermodynamics, and motion (speed of falling down, etc) Lol! Just saying ;)

I wouldn't advice throwing siberian husky children off a mountain unky,unless it was in the name of science of course.

Finding the impact speed, we can estimate the safe landing speed of each child, on the several natural 'platforms' we have, hence getting the work faster ;)
