You do know that I am great at making up stories. If you're not good I'll find an even more embarrassing nickname for you, complete with a little tale about how it came about. :D

I just got great news. Hubby's cousin's son is going to be a daddy. They just got married in November. They're a great couple, wonderful people. I've know this kid since he was 11 years old, Jareds age, now he's going to be a dad. Of course he's only 8 years younger then me, so it's not that big a shock, still... I feel old. :(

This is so wonderful. I'm going to be... um... what am I going to be? Not an Aunt, not a cousin, or second cousin. A third cousin once removed by marriage?

I'm Alty! Yup, that's it. Auntie Alty. :)

I usually go by 'lovely' online. It's a shortening of a name I used on myspace for a long time, that was later shortened and used as a screenname on several sites. I use that name for sites I plan to stay while and hang out with people.

When I signed up here, I just wanted the name of a book. I wasn't planning on staying, so I used my 'spam name' (the name I use on sites I end up visiting one or two times, and ones where socialization isn't really an option, like photobucket).

The one thing about using this name, is that people often misread it. About half the time, there ends up being an 'l' added. You think I'd be used to it. It's happened my entire life. People misread my last name as health and then act like I'M wrong when I correct them.

Oh I have a fairly un common first name, and my mother had to be difficult and spell it if even weirder, so when I tell people how to spell my name, they get all cockeyed, and ask if I am sure that's how it is spelled. Especially since there are 3 vowels together. Can you guess my name?

Funny how you associate a name to someone or something. My Bella is the cutest thing she is three years old and has the greatest smile, her whole face lights up. And when she runs she bounces just like her long light brown natural curls.

I tried to download a pic of her but had a problem..

I was thinking Asian Elephant. Eats the bamboo and can be used for heavy lifting in the yard. :)

I don't know, but if I did I wouldn't tell. To me it is up to the individual to tell their name if he/she wants.

Though, I once had a kid try to tell me he knew my name because someone told him my screen name was part of it. I laughed at him and said guess again. :D

Well the way I see it is: If someone comes into my office and asks me what my name is, 99.9% of the time I am going to tell him or her. Maybe I shouldn't...

One thing to keep in mind is that out here, you have no control over who sees your name. Right now, we are on the open Discussion Board. Anyone just looking over the site can see what is written. It can be a sobering thought.

Considering I know of at least 4 other people with my first AND last name, JUST in Ohio, and a fifth in California, I don't really worry about it. Besides, a Google search of my name brings up mostly horticultural references, and a lady in Kentucky or Tennessee, I think, that runs a museum.

Wasn't there also a weather person somewhere?

Yeah, most of us can be found fairly easily. I just like making "them" work harder. I tend to be mean that way. Why should I do their homework for them?:)

    Might've been. Don't know.

Even if people knew the town I grew up in, it wouldn't help them much. 3 of the 4 girls with my name that I know of in Ohio, were in that town.
