The hurricane is supposed to hit us sometime tomorrow. They have wind and rain warnings out now. I was debating on whether to leave now before or wait until it passes.

Unless you're comletely prepared to leave soon enough to get far enough, I personally think if where you are is structurally sound, stick it out.
But then again, I don't know exactly where you are right now... geographically. You have access to the internet, can you track the storm relative to your location?
Let me know if I can help with links to radar. Here in NE FLA, I've sat through several nasty storms, but I didn't have Little Cheeks with me.

First it was on Friday, then it was the following Tuesday, then Wed, now due yesterday but I haven't seen it yet. Got bills to pay but I'm now stressing about getting them out today. I guess I can't count on them caring!

Government; caring? Now there is an oxymoron capt.:D

I thought I might be in labor, drove myself to the quick drive in latte place... then to the doctor... she said yup, you will have a baby today, I went home and all of a sudden an hour later, I had my daughter almost didn't make it to the hospital room... and my mid wife was late... It was easy as pie, I could have done it myself! You can have a cup of coffee or two!

What a story start... sounds like it went very well for yah! A cup... or TWO!! Me oh my! So you said you had a midwife? I was thinking about finding a doula...

Mid wife's are great and much more personal... I don't even know what a doula is??
  • Nov 2, 2007, 09:06 AM

My friend had a doula and really liked the experience. Here is a pretty good explanation of one, "A doula who accompanies a woman in labor mothers the mother, taking care of her emotional needs throughout childbirth. A doula also provides support and suggestions for partners that can enhance their experiences of birth. A postpartum doula continues that valuable emotional support and guidance, helping a family make a smooth transition into new family dynamics."

Well everyone, please wish me and my beautiful wife a happy fifth wedding anniversary. Five years ago I said "I do" and she said " I think". But I convinced her that her decision to participate in this "joint venture" was a good one. (?) I believe that she is very happy, I know that I am, I GOT THE BETTER PART OF THE DEAL!!
