My van hasn't worked in one year now. I miss my mom AND my friends. Oh well that is why I want the island so I don't have the lonely in a crowd feeling.
What's wrong with your van NH? That's an awful long time to go without wheels! That's horrible that you can't get around. Maybe the Genie can grant you a wish? Too bad that only works on the island. :(

I think the problem with the newer van is the alternator.
I think it is the safety neutral switch or something in the upper column.
I had the whole steering column replaced for $300. (with one from a junk yard) and then two months later when I could afford tires I drove it to the tire place and when they were done it had the same problem. Then it was too late on the junk yard guarantee.
I am taking it to the garage down the hill around the end of Oct. I am sick of not having a way to get around other than relying on my boyfriend when he feels like it.
It really sucks to have to reley on other people, I know. I like my indepence too much. I really like to just jump in and go whenever I want to, so I know how that feels.
Yeah I can sit in the house for days and not be depressed if I know I can jump in my van and go. But not having a vehicle makes you go stir crazy!

Do you have a bus system there? Or are you not into that?
Yeah we have a bus system. I hate it though and still hard to do a good shopping trip. Have to make three trips just to get all my groceries, household cleaning supplies, etc...
Glad I can get to work on it though.
I miss my van cause it takes too long to get to and from visiting friends and mom
Can't get a lot of things I need done.
And make money with my van. Can't make any money on the bus.
Also didn't have any bus money all summer cause I didn't have my van to make money.

Not a whole bunch Kal! It was slow around here all yesterday it seems, with the long wkd and all. I was getting ready to go out to a big party at the lake, after getting my van running, and went to get supplies, and it broke down on me at the store. I had to get a tow truck, and come home. It's a nay on the bike. Thanks to my lovely ex, I have a hip problem and a bad back, that also brings along arthritis. Got to love the ex's! ;)
