    Hey starty,

I slept all right I suppose. It wasn't much of a sleep, I'm very tired right now at work, looking forward to a nap when I get home. I need it. Working 9 hours on 4 hours of sleep is a little rough.

I'm still a little down in the dumps, but I'm starting to even out. I try to think rationally about the things that I saw. For example, I know nothing about him, and there is no indication that there is anything between them. And as far as the drinking thing, when we broke up she told me that one of the issues she wanted to solve was her being so uptight and making huge deals about things which shouldn't be... maybe she really is trying for herself.

Either way, I'm going to keep on going through the day. My lunch break might last a little long as I'll for a nice little drive, but I'm hanging on.

Ohhh, I love drives, good music, a water bottle, a snack and more good music! It always seems to get some emothions out for me. Good and bad! A nice little drive is a great idea! I hope you get a good nap when you get home. Work hard today and keep your mind off things! Hugs!

    Thanks,

I'll do my best. I just wish I could shut certain thoughts off, keep certain images out of my head. That would be a great invention.

    startover22
    That would be boring...
Biggie, everyone gets heartache, it makes us appreciate the real love and good people in our lives. Remember you are going to be all right! ;) I just know it!

    That's true,
I just need to remember that everything that's coming up seems so much worse to me now that I am down. Things I thought wouldn't be a problem for me at all seem like they will kill me now, but I guess as my mood changes, so will my opinion on those things (anniversary, her upcoming birthday, etc)...

    Such is life, right?

    startover22
Such is life, yes. BUT Biggie, I put this quote in another thread... it can go two ways.

"Don't cry because it's over, Smile because it happened."
"Don't cry because it happened, Smile because it's over."

Either way it could apply and I really know you, with time will feel better and all of these feelings may never go away, but they won't feel like they do today! They won't diminish they will fade... into the back groud of your "new" life!

    Starty,

That means a lot. It just sucks a little bit because I was doing so well. I knew I was ahead of schedule and was starting to feel invincible. Its okay though, I'll be back there in no time. It just takes time.

    I love this place...

Funny how people I don't know and will probably never meet can make me feel so much better. Its just about lunch time, what should I get??

I'm thinking a salad... trying to keep my diet healthy. Good thing I'm not an emotional eater!!

I have to be sure I'm ready to be single on the beach :) I got the gym under control, just have to keep the diet under control.

SUBWAY! Love it and you can have a man sammich if you want to, you deserve it!;)
I am a sucker for salad, I love that. Oh great when the girls get back they are going to be mad cause we are talking about food!
Single on the beach? That sounds like a drink! LMAO

It does sound like a drink now that you mention it.

That's what I'll do, I'll invent a drink from myself. It'll be a smash, I'll famous and rich.

Subway does sound good. I was boycotting subway for a while as I thought it was rediculously expensive, but the $5 footlong is a good deal.

    Hey starty,

That was a fun lunch. Took your advice and got some subway. Its gorgeous outside here today, probably approaching 90 and sunny. My arms were hurting a bit (I got sunburn the other day) but it was good. In a day or two it will be a nice tan :)

Good call on the Subway too. The girl behind the counter was a cutie...

I love that song... I also like others. I went on a drive to meet the family where they were camping, I put in one of the OLD CD's my oldest son made a about a year or two ago, it had... "Make me a grill" I was laughing so loud in the truck all by myself... there were other songs but that one got to me big time! LOL
He said (when I finally made it there) Mom, you are such a dork! Whatever...

I really know next to 0 rap/hip hop songs. I'm lucky I recognized the first one you mentioned. I pretty much listen to EVERYTHING else, but not so much that stuff...

Got to love music though, its good for any mood. Amazing how it can really change how your feeling... That's the main reason I started playing guitar - it's a great hobby.
  • May 27, 2008, 10:50 AM
    startover22
Ohhh you play a guitar. NICE! I am not musically inclined, but if you know me, you will know I will be the next PROFESSIONAL lip syncer of the world. You have seen me in my car, I am the lady that lets it all go... but tastefully of course:)
  • May 27, 2008, 10:52 AM
    bigbird213
    Haha,

I'm pretty good with music, though I wish I could sing. I might trade any other skill for singing, but as long as I'm by myself, I'll go nuts :)
I've never tried writing lyrics, not sure how hard that would be.

    startover22
In your position, it could be very interesting on what you COULD come up with sweet Biggie!
I love music, my fave kind is the depressing or sad songs! I love them... I like Boy singers better than girls and I love all sorts of music, just depends on the mood!
  • May 27, 2008, 11:09 AM
    bigbird213
I agree with the depressing music, but I'd have to add angry to that list. Those lyrics are much more motivating to me. Happy music isn't really my cup of tea haha

Good god the NC calendar is a busy place today. I have my hands full dishing out advice which is really helping me to feel better. Funny how that works :)
  • May 27, 2008, 11:14 AM
    startover22
Damn right! You give good advice and it helps to look at the whole situation from the outside in as if you can take your own advice, and more ideas just keep slipping out of your mind and it does help! Great job Biggie. I love angry music too, many people wouldn't believe a 33 year old mother of 4 used to be a rocker and a hard core music listener, not so much now but I used to love it.

Naw, anyone that knows me, knows me well, and they love me the way I was and am now! I show me here... no one else:o :D  :p ;) :)

Well that's good. I noticed in my relationship as time went I was becoming a different person in front of my friends and my ex. Tough situation to be in. It's a real test if your compatible, if you can be who you want, no matter where you are :)

Funny how we analize ourselves when we go through something... how we acted, how we felt, was it real, was it right... how do I feel now? I know, crazy... my mind works like that!
  • May 27, 2008, 11:43 AM
    bigbird213
I think it's a good thing. I'm much more aware of things I do that I thought were just instinctive before. Definitely a learning experience. I always try to understand why I do what I do, and what I can do better now. I guess that's why people will say it's the best thing that ever happened to them.

Hilarity? Wow, that word has never entered my vocabulary, thanks for that one!
I would post a pic to show you some hilarity, but I can't get the pics to do a damn thing with my new windows vista! Gosh darn it anyway!

Awww, its one of my favorite words. Just saying the word makes me smile because it sounds a bit funny. It's a good one :)

    Hey Starty,

Thanks for talking with me throughout the day, really made it a bit easier. The thoughts are still there, but I'm keeping them at bay. I'm headed out of here in about 10 minutes, not sure if I'm napping when I get home or trying to get a game of tennis or something going on. Maybe I'll try to do both.

I'll be talking to you later tonight I'm sure...

    Adios!

Adios! See you later maybe... and Tennis? Ooohhhh I loved playing tennis when I was younger! Do both!

    Hey Starty!

I took a nap, woke up a little bummed about stuff, not to mention it started pouring and storming, so tennis is out of the question. Oh well, I'll just have to hang around the house I guess.

The drive home was good for me, I'm pretty sure the music REALLY helps me get into a better mood, I might just go for a drive before bed to cheer up. I had a LOT of really good thoughts then, I'm trying to bring them back.

I was thinking stuff such as:
-It doesn't matter what she is doing, if she is happy, I am happy for her.
-Nothing she does now changes what we shared, and I'm sure she still cares about me/ cares about what we had. Nothing will ever change that.
-We weren't compatible, there was no hiding that, so eventually, we can be friends, not for a while though.

I'm doing a bit better, that music helps :)

Just ate dinner too... Pork chops, :( not my favorite, but the noodles were good.

    startover22
WOW, you are a smart, smart man. (not that I had my doubts) but you are definitely thinking on the right track. Now lets get you busy... what do guys like to do after eating a not so good supper and are stuck in the house..? ;)
Uhhh, a shower? You could turn on your cool music and dance around the house... (if you do do this, please don't tell anyone else) LMAO
Uhhh a drive, that sounds good! You can't take another nap, you won't fall asleep tonight. Maybe go to the store and get something for a better, more satisfying supper tomorrow? A good salad with all the good stuff, maybe add baked or grilled chicken? You are doing good!

    bigbird213
    :)

Thanks, I certainly am trying. I am handling it a bit better then I thought I would, so I have made progress since it first happened. One of the thoughts that makes me feel a lot better is thinking about when I find a girl I can flirt with and hang out with a bit. Its tough when I'm working 40 hours a week and my two best single friends are (1) is working out of state, and the other works at night. I need to find some new buddies to go out with haha.

I would dance around the house, but my family probably wouldn't like that much. My house is small for the numebr of people we have, I don't have my own room. It's tough to get any privacy, which is why I like going for a drive. After I graduate next summer I plan on getting myself a condo, that will be awesome.
