Sorry, guys, but I've had a long rough day. This is a thread which was started about Starby/Jo. I consider her a friend, have been praying for her and worrying about her.

The thread has gone very far astray.

I see that it's active and my heart pounds as I open the latest posts - which have nothing to do with Starby/Jo.

Please - I realize this is an informal part of AMHD but could this particular thread which is so serious just be about Starby/Jo?

I completely agree with this.

I've found myself not checking in on this thread as often as of late because it's often not posts about Starby.

I love chatting as well, but this thread should be reserved for our friend.

Any updates on our love Starbs?

We know she is fighting like a trooper. That's about it as far as I know so far.

No news lately. I guess no news is good news.

I do know that her sister has taken charge and she's not one to share info with anyone, including Jo's Aunt.

I know Jo's Aunt will send news my way, when and if she hears anything. When she does, I'll share it with all of you. I promise.

Yes, she's a fighter, she's definitely proven that. Also, I agree, let's keep this thread about Starby. We have the castle and other threads to chat in.

I've been guilty of it too, mainly to try to keep the mood light because this thread has become so serious. At times we need a little chuckle.

I'd love to chat about Starby stories, memories, fun things she did and said, but general chit chat, not here please.

I miss Starby, yesterday I was going through my old phone messages and there was one of her messages. It was one the first days that she spent in the hospital. I had spoken to her a couple times but this call came when I was out.

It was nice to hear her voice and nice her 'husky' laugh again.

"Hey there!! Just wanted to give you a quick update on Jo--she's doing OK. We found a doc who was willing to switch her meds around and it seems to be doing the trick--she has shown some improvement. She's not out of the woods, by any means, but she IS doing better!! Thank you SO much for your concern!!! We truly appreciate it. :) "

I am not offended and in my little opinion, you shouldn't worry about such things... Praise the Lord! If you were to say something mean or demeaning, then you could say I hope no one is offended, but you said something genuinely nice, and I for one appreciate it!
