Everybody tells me that there will be times like that. Where they hardly eat anything and other times just eat there favorite stuff.

I guess my little guy normally does not eat tide and Ice blue, he gets his hands into lemons, mangos, and avocados and lots of cheese and bread, chicken , etc... It can be a chore trying to introducing something new that is for sure.

EDIT: Tj3, is preaching to me...

    Better you then me.

Actually, he stopped "preaching" to me a long time ago. Now, whenever he sees my name, he gets all flustered, starts saying that I'm harassing him, claims that it will be my fault when the thread gets closed (even though he's the one that reports it) and then makes comments about me, trying to be subtle.

Maybe I'll start preaching. Would should I preach about? Maybe the book of Wicca, or the Satanic bible (had to do a report on it in school). What do you think? It could be fun. :)

Lets instigate the f--- out of him. All for it Alty.

Good luck to me according to him just because I believe God is within us all.

You see the post Alty? Anyway, I am sure I can do some research too. Appreciate your help because quite honestly the satanic bible bit scares me, but that is just me. Lol

    Wicca does not though.

Starby, whose eyeball is that on your avi?? Is it yours?

I know that's super random; just been curious about it for a while

Actually, the satanic bible isn't as scary as you would think. Not my cup of tea, athough I do believe the devil exists, I do not and never will worship him.

I can see why some people get roped in though, sadly the book does make sense, even though it's very dark, not at all hopeful to forge a good life. But hey, I went to Catholic school and they asked us to research it. Go figure. ;)

Wicca really interests me. If I could incorporate my beliefs with Wicca, not lose God and Jesus, but expand my beliefs to include Wicca, I'd love it. It's a very calm, peaceful loving religion. After all, mother earth is God's creation, shouldn't it be worshipped too?

    Okay, beer talking. ;)

Starby's avi is my doing. I found it for her, heck I posted it for her. For a while I had complete and total control of her account.

I am surprised ducky survived. It was a good dinner, I think somebody rescued the duck. We ended having turkey instead. Could not find ducky any where. Your so so lucky.

Hi Starby, Lucky me, lucky me I know.

    LUCKY YOU TOO.

No one ever eats rabbit on Easter, it would be really wrong, dontcha think?

We had turkey too. My mom always made a ham. Of course, back when mom and dad were alive we followed the whole "no meat" durning lent thingy, so the ham was always really welcome. Ahhhh. To this day, when I smell ham I think easter. That and vinegar and bacon fat (the vinegar was in the egg coloring, the bacon fat was rubbed on the eggs to make them shine).

Memories. Thank goodness I have them. :)

This is what Easter is all about...

My wife called, 'How long will you be with that newspaper? Will you come here and make your darling daughter eat her food?

I tossed the paper away and rushed to the scene. My only daughter, Sindu, looked frightened; tears were welling up in her eyes. In front of her was a bowl filled to its brim with curd rice. Sindu is a nice child, quite intelligent for her age.

I cleared my throat and picked up the bowl. 'Sindu, darling, why don't you take a few mouthful of this curd rice? Just for Dad's sake, dear'.

Sindu softened a bit and wiped her tears with the back of her hands. 'Ok, Dad. I will eat - not just a few mouthfuls, but the whole lot of this. But, you should...' Sindu hesitated. 'Dad, if I eat this entire curd Rice, will you give me whatever I ask for?'

'Promise'. I covered the pink soft hand extended by my daughter with mine, and clinched the deal. Now I became a bit anxious. 'Sindu, dear, you shouldn't insist on getting a computer or any such expensive items. Dad does not have that kind of money right now. Ok?'

'No, Dad. I do not want anything expensive'. Slowly and painfully, she finished eating the whole quantity. I was silently angry with my wife and my mother for forcing my child to eat something that she detested. After the ordeal was through, Sindu came to me with her eyes wide with expectation. All our attention was on her. 'Dad, I want to have my head shaved off, this Sunday!' was her demand.

'Atrocious!' shouted my wife, 'A girl child having her head shaved off? Impossible!'

'Never in our family!' My mother rasped. 'She has been watching too much of television. Our culture is getting totally spoiled with these TV programs!'

'Sindu, darling, why don't you ask for something else? We will be sad seeing you with a clean-shaven head.'

'Please, Sindu, why don't you try to understand our feelings?' I tried to plead with her.

'Dad, you saw how difficult it was for me to eat that Curd Rice'. Sindu was in tears. 'And you promised to grant me whatever I ask for. Now, you are going back on your words. Was it not you who told me the story of King Harishchandra, and its moral that we should honor our promises no matter what?'

It was time for me to call the shots. 'Our promise must be kept.'

'Are you out of your mind?' chorused my mother and wife.

'No. If we go back on ourpromises, she will never learn to honour her own. Sindu, your wish will be fulfilled.'

With her head clean-shaven, Sindu had a round-face, and her eyes looked big and beautiful.

On Monday morning, I dropped her at her school. It was a sight to watch my hairless Sindu walking towards her classroom. She turned around and waved. I waved back with a smile. Just then, a boy alighted from a car, and shouted, 'Sinduja, please wait for me!' What struck me was the hairless head of that boy. 'May be, that is the in-stuff', I thought.

'Sir, your daughter Sinduja is great indeed!' Without introducing herself, a lady got out of the car, and continued, 'that boy who is walking along with your daughter is my son Harish. He is suffering from... leukemia'. She paused to muffle her sobs. 'Harish could not attend the school for the whole of the last month. He lost all his hair due to the side effects of the chemotherapy. He refused to come back to school fearing the unintentional but cruel teasing of the schoolmates. Sinduja visited him last week, and promised him that she will take care of the teasing issue. But, I never imagined she would sacrifice her lovely hair for the sake of my son!

Sir, you and your wife are blessed to have such a noble soul as your daughter.'

I stood transfixed and then, I wept. 'My little Angel, you are teaching me how selfless real love is!'

The happiest people on this planet are not those who live on their own terms but are those who change their terms for the ones whom they love !!

Actually I was childless all weekend, so it was OK. Very busy really.

Remembered why I am so smart to get the kids spring outfits for Easter, not candy baskets. Watched my three year old niece eat about 15 pieces of candy, then go hide with her bucket of eggs to eat more...

She is a bit too spoiled.

Yes, I miss spending it with my kids.

Had a good weekend of poker and it was profittable, so that's another plus.

Have to give my partner many props, I was an emotional PMS'd pain in the behind and he didn't choke me at all this weekend. :D

Ha ha... being married as long as I have, I understand that... boy... I do.

Yeah, I was exceptionally bad this month. I try to make it through without him even noticing, but he usually does, just from some of the faces I make.

This month on the other hand, I had two huge breakdowns that he just happen to get to be on the other side of. Poor thing. Then I had an abnormal amount of snippiness. He was a trooper though.

Thinking about what special thing I could do to make it up to him. :D

Sounds like you have a good man there Justy.

If Marta knows that she has been exceptionally 'tuff' she seems to try and pay a lot of extra attention to me... in a nice way. Things like special dinners, lots of hugs, lots of 'you know, you are a very special guy' kind of things. But I have to pay close attention... cause she pretty much is like that all the time...

EDIT: Boy it is really raining very hard outside today... gloomy too.

    I don't know...

Maybe, lots of hugs for understanding and just being a great guy...

Women are pretty good a listening and observing their guys (a nice thing), maybe there is something small that he has been hinting for or wants you to do...

And, you know what, something simple (Marta does this) like buying a special card to say 'thanks', I'm sorry or just that you love him cause he is special... he may appreciate that. I know that I do and I save all those cards...

    Guesses...

Well thanks for all the guess work. I was thinking about doing the card. He isn't super sentimental, but just a little extra thank you for putting up with "that time". Wonder if Hallmark is making that card yet? They could make the box of twelve for the whole year. I think I just came up with my moneymaker. :D
