Yeah, Marta wanted me to go get some stitches... but 'Me Man' :) Cold water and a band aid put on very snugly did the job. But now, it seems that all I do is bump the darn thing, its' bleeding again through the band aid... :(

Well, like my dear mother used to say: 'it's alright, now you have gotten rid of all the bad and things will be alright now....'

    So, I'm 'alright now!'

I think it's the mousse, or cream, or whatever you use to shave that sort of 'masked' the pain, if there was any...

Thanks Cat, busy now trying to stop the darn bleeding again... ouch.

EDIT: Now there is blood all over the keyboard... :(

Stringer, Marta is an intelligent woman.

From other posts, am I correct in thinking that you have some health issues that may make this a more serious concern?

Unky, that was the curious thing... there was no pain initially at all, but you should have seen the gushing... must have hit an artery I guess. (In my thumb?)

Hm... I guess it's the right thumb? Try using your left thumb to press spacebar... It's sort of giddy if you are used to using the right thumb. I just tried it :o

Yes, but that wasn't her first concern though, she freaks at gushing blood. But she did have concerns that I didn't feel it right away (diabetes), she is such a concerned loving wife. Without her to remind me to take the shots twice a day and all those pills, I know that I wouldn't be doing quite so well... as I have said so many times... just lucky, very lucky.

EDIT: I really haven't experienced too many results from this disease yet. I was told by my specialist to watch oout for certain things though. Loss of feelings in my extremities (feet, fingers, etc), but for rthe most part that hasn't happened... but this is a little disconcerting.

I freak at gushing blood, too, especially if it is Cats or one of the kids. :(

However, If you are having trouble getting it to stop bleeding then you need to get a professional to look at it and treat it.

I see three problems at the moment:
    1. You injured yourself. Sounds like a pretty good cut.
    2. You didn't feel it until you saw the blood.
    3. It is still bleeding or very easily starting to bleed again after how long?

All good points Cat, thank you.

Started when I bumped it pretty hard a couple hours after it was cut... darn those 5 blade razors... he hee.

It has stopped again and it hurts... actually THAT is a good thing!!

Lucky there, it's my left thumb but right at the tip, kind of at the side... but it seems that evryting is a 'target' now and I am hitting bulls eyes a lot.

I will admit that multiple blade razors can do a number on thumbs (and knees :( ). It may be that it looks worse than it is and is going to hurt even more. However, it is the bleeding part that is tricky. If it has stopped and stayed stopped that is good. Just be careful with it and don't let it get infected. :)

    No more target practice. :)
