    Hi all you lovelies!
Hope you all have a nice holiday!

WHY ATHLETES CAN'T HAVE REGULAR JOBS...
1 Chicago Cubs outfielder Andre Dawson on being a role model: 'I wan'
All dem kids to do what I do, to look up to me. I wan' all the kids to
    Copulate me.'
    2. New Orleans Saint RB George Rogers when asked about the upcoming
Season: 'I want to rush for 1,000 or 1,500 yards, whichever comes
    First.
    3. And upon hearing Joe Jacobi of the 'Skins say: 'I'd run over my own
Mother to win the Super Bowl,' Matt Millen of the Raiders said: 'To
Win, I'd run over Joe's Mom, too.'
    4. Torrin Polk, University of Houston receiver, on his coach, John
Jenkins: 'He treats us like men. He lets us wear earrings.'
    5. Football commentator and former player Joe Theismann, 1996: 'Nobody
In football should be called a genius. A genius is a guy like Norman Einstein.'
    6. Senior basketball player at the University of Pittsburgh : 'I'm
Going to graduate on time, no matter how long it takes.' (now that is
    Beautiful)
    7. Bill Peterson, a Florida State football coach: 'You guys line up
Alphabetically by height.' And, 'You guys pair up in groups of three,
And then line up in a circle.'
    8. Boxing promoter Dan Duva on Mike Tyson going to prison: 'Why would
Anyone expect him to come out smarter? He went to prison for three years,
    Not Princeton '
    9. Stu Grimson, Chicago Blackhawks left wing, explaining why he keeps
A color photo of himself above is locker: 'That's so when I forget how
To spell my name, I can still find my clothes.'
    10. Lou Duva, veteran boxing trainer, on the Spartan training regime
Of heavyweight Andrew Golota: 'He's a guy who gets up at six o'clock in
The morning, regardless of what time it is.'
    11. Chuck Nevitt , North Carolina State basketball player, explaining
To Coach Jim Valvano why he appeared nervous at practice: 'My sister's
Expecting a baby, and I don't know if I'm going to be an uncle or an
Aunt.' (I wonder if his IQ ever hit room temperature in January)
    12. Frank Layden , Utah Jazz president, on a former player: 'I told
Him, 'Son, what is it with you? Is it ignorance or apathy?' He said,
    'Coach, I don't know and I don't care.''
    13. Shelby Metcalf, basketball coach at Texas A&M, recounting what he
Told a player who received four F's and one D: 'Son, looks to me like
You're spending too much time on one subject.'
    14. Amarillo High School and Oiler coach Bum Phillips when asked by
Bob Costas why he takes his wife on all the road trips, Phillips
Responded: 'Because she is too damn ugly to kiss good-bye

Sheesh, and I thought I had problems, just look what these poor little rich ones had to cope with. LMAO

    Hi all.

I'm back home taking my pain meds. I overdid it at my grandson's home cause he was sooo much fun to be with and he did not pitch one hissy fit during the whole time. He was so mellow, and even sat on my lap to watch a movie. He fed me pretzles and shared his juice with me. It amazed his mom... she thought for sure that he was throw a tantrum at some time and was pleasantly surprised that we all had such a wonderful time. He was such a gentleman - every time I had to go to the bathroom, he would run ahead of me and open the door and lift the seat for me. When we had dinner, he would wipe my mouth with his napkin and throw me a hand-kiss. Today at lunch, he even let me feed him - he usually refuses help and eats with his own fork, but he let me feed him and threw such super smiles at me it just warmed my heart. I tell you, it was worth taking only half my meds just to experience this wonderful overnighter. Jaime had such a good time, she was so relaxed and happy too - so she asked me to come over again next week. I showed him a new fun thing, when mom is on her hands and knees, I sit him on her back and he rides the horsey with his hands in the air and laughs, he just might be a good rodeo rider - must be from his Dad, who is from Arizona..
These have been two of the most wonderful days in my life for a long time, and I just had to share them with you - my cyber family. I even slept 3 hours straight without waking up - a new record for me.

    Can't wait until next Friday!

    Love,
    Chery

    Hi Chery, that was delightful.

It warms my heart when I read something like this. And your love for your family resonates throughout the post hon. I am glad that you are going back again next week too. Please let us know all the details sweet.

Grandkids are very special, I have four, two girls and two boys. The oldest girl is 16 and the youngest (girl) is now eight. I have relived so many moments...

My wife and I have been trying to have a child, sadly we were just told finally that that is not possible. So, we have each other, and that IS important.

I am so glad to see you this happy my friend.

So sorry to hear that my dear. Some things are just not meant to be.. I was pregnant three times and was only allowed the one. Sometimes we just have to be content with what we have and give them all the love we can. I sincerely hope that the other things you and your wife share make up for the things denied you. You have each other - and finding each other is a blessing in itself. All the warmth and virtual hugs to you both.

Chery - I'll be with you in a minute... :)

Stringer I am so sorry. Truly I am. Hubby and I do not have children either and probably can't. We never looked into it as we were so tied up and sometimes still are, with taking care of elder relatives. I can not tell you how grateful I was to be a Pops bedside during his time. There is no way we could have taken care of them with little ones. So, sometimes the answers don't come till much later. Bless you sweetheart.

Okay now Miss Chery... I miss you. How's things. You still love Allheart :) I love you.

    Chery
Dear Allheart.. Of course I still love you - never have doubts about that.

The love I have in me to share with you all is what is keeping me going. It's like a drug, but instead of needing to take it - it is the need to give it. And you good people here have got me hooked. IMO there could not be a better addiction than the sharing of love, warmth and caring. Sometimes my energy loss over-rides, but then I rest and regain to love again.

Hope you had a super holiday weekend.

How I look at it is, there are little things that happen to us when we don't think they should or we think they should have already happened... we don't have enough money to buy the pound of cheese, only to find out your mom already picked an extra one up at the store for you... :) If that makes any sense, it is all for a reason, everything...

Okay... thought you may like this...

... and people say animals have no feelings, no smarts - they're dumb. WELL, GUESS WHAT?? WRONG!

    Amazing!
This woman found this lion hurt and about to die.
She took him home and took care of him.
When the lion was better she called the
Local zoo to come take care of him.
This was the reaction she got when she
Visited the zoo and the lion saw her.
Enjoy! It is beautiful. I promise this is no joke!

Mommies are warmer, softer voices, softer in general and easier to get from them what they want... and (lightbulb goes off) they understand them better.
