Do you have carpet caue I wear my woolies on a daily basit, it is frezzing here and it only costs me about 6 hundred dollars if I turn up the heat past 65 degrees... Cold cold cold, and the hardwood floors don't help.

All carpet except the kitchen and even then you have to remember our houses are somewhat differently built to yours over there.

Hardwood, well it is pretty but not warm.

A good shag pile carpet is lovely I have to agree with that.
Our houses are totally brick built rpg no wood or anything like that it wouldn't last two minnutes with all the rain we have.

Nope brick and breeze block there is wood partitioning in new houses but that's it.

I want a brick house! I will even take old brick floors with nice rugs so I can dig my tootsies into them...

Noooo, no lottery, but I wish. A studio is a place with no bedroom! I could make it real sweet! Oh I always wanted a little place of my own, do crafts, and such in it and be left alone! I would never get away with a separate room, they would always be at my door a knockin' (family) Hee hee

LOL studio flats here are rare and mega exspensive too, that house in that pic would set you back about 500.000 dollars for two rooms downsstairs and the kitchen three bedrooms up and a bathroom.

Oh my goodness. It is getting bad here too, so expensive, we live in one of the two pretty houses on just under 3 acres and I won't even start to tell you what it appraised at.
Crazy housing costs. A wonder why people would rather rent than buy. If I weren't in the situation I am in, I would for sure need to rent!

We rent we pay 700 pounds a month for this place that about 1300 dollars our out goings for the tax and other bills are about 1200 pounds so double that for the dollar sign its scary I have no idea how we do it but we do lol

Houses are currently at a 10 year low here in the states. It's an absolute buyer's market--which is why people like my husband and I are finally looking at buying one.

I found one I liked (just doing research) for about $189k. 4 bedrooms, kitchen, dining room, 3 season porch, and a view of the lake. Oh, and a finished basement. Something like 3500 sq ft finished total.

That is hard, I know what you mean. We just got the thousand dollar electric and the mortgage... Oh man I should start a Hermit Crab farm and sell them on the side! LOL
