Hehehe! I've been a little distracted lately! I just got a call from one of my friends that is a bylaw officer, and I hate to go that route... I'm so sick of dealing with the legal system after my latest (and only) ordeal because of my ex, but what the heck does a person do? I have vet bills that are beyond my bank acct right now, and the owner of the dog that attacked Nik, is refusing to even answer my calls. It's horrible because his girlfriend has been a very good friend for yrs. It really sucks!

Yeah sounds like a sticky situation.
But still he has to face his responsibilities as the owner and is refusing to do so. If he isn't coming to the party he's the one who started it , Full stop!!

Yup! I hate doing this, but neither he nor my supposed friend have made an effort to even check up on Niki. I don't know if they think I'm exaggerating her injuries? or if they just don't give a *%$*!

My sister did a bunch of research on Canadian dog law for me, (she has had experience because she owns a bull terrior, but lives in the US) and it doesn't even matter if Niki jumped their fence, it is considered a dangerous breed and they are 100% liable!

What do you think I should do Franny?. hahahaha... you are going to hop a plane and kill me for calling you that aren't you?? EEEEEKKKKK!!

I think you should get whatever compensation is due to you , they don't sound like very good friends to me.

Well the actual dog owner himself has NEVER been a friend of mine. It's his girlfriend, who he incidentally treats very badly, that is the one that I'm upset about.

I couldn't care less what happens to the guy. I really don't want anything bad to happen to the dog that attacked Niki though. It wasn't really her fault... it was the fault of an idiot owner who didn't do the work to train and restrain a dangerous breed! I don't know what some people don't understand about that?! Just because they have a cute face doesn't mean that they don't have to do the work to care for a breed with those tendencies! Grrrr!
