Well I know a hunter. Last year there was no fat in the meat whatsoever. This year there is tons of fat in them. So he said to me that they are preparing themselves for a long winter. Makes sense.

It does make sense, except for the fact that last winter was hard too. ;)

Last winter was awesome, where I was anyway. I thought it was a good winter.

We had okay moments, but not enough that I'd call it a good winter.

The only reason it is so cold down here is because Canada is BLOWING AGAIN! Artic wind from Canada just killed my Baby Achoa vine in my greenhouse. Just when my Baby Achoas were almost ready to eat. If it ain't Mexico, it's Canada. Why in the hell do we have to be sandwiched between those two? That's all I want to know.

I would feel sorry for you Mag, but I'm in Canada getting the full brunt of the cold crap, so no sorrow for you. ;)

We got home to snow and a temperature last night of -14, which is a record low for November here. Brrrr. It's snowing again now.

Wow. We must have sent our cold to you. It's actually been okay here for the last few days. On Friday it was 5 degrees.

I'll pass you a blanket. Sit by the fire and drink rum, you'll warm up. :)

Very kind, Alty, thanks. Now if you could just send the cold somewhere else... All the whiteness does look quite festive though. Started seeing the little red-breasted robins hopping around the garden which is a very christmassy thing here in England.

Here red breasted robins are a sign of spring. We get giddy when they finally show up.

Shazzy, I love it. I wonder what the mean snowman wants? The hat? The carrot? His snow balls? Um what? ;)

Scotland has minus l5 C I hear, extreme icy weather conditions and lots of snow for all of England. Nothing much here in Ontario except a smattering on Sunday that disappeared quickly in the rain. More rain today and mild temps.

I feel for you over there. Know what its like to have those kind of weather conditions and having to drive around in it as well.

    Safe driving !

Wonderful pic, what a proud time.

    Hello everyone!

Weather is freezing at the moment, work was crazy plus exams.

    Hi Red!

I've missed you! Where have you been? Oh, I guess it was work and exams. ;)

I think things are going well here. A few people left, but that was to be expected. But all in all things are running okay now. Still a few glitches with the new skin, but they won't be changing their minds about that so I guess we just have to lump it.

How are you? Other than cold. ;)

Hello bear. Love the snowman. Glad he can watch people drive by.
The roads seem to have ground to a halt here pretty much this morning and it's still snowing heavily. Glad I got most of my christmas shopping done as it looks like we're going nowhere for a while. Just hoping there is some let up before christmas as I want my family to be able to get home.

Hubby is pacing around on the phone trying to find out if work is going to become feasible today, not happening yet.

Same here, no chance I'm getting to work today

But with the amount of snow that's still falling I'm thinking the snowman might have some work done :D

Yeah I hope the snow lets up as well so that ill be able to go home and see my family for christmas

    Snow, what is snow?

The temp plummeted to 40 (F) today. Monday it was almost 70 (F).

We might see a light dusting of snow for the weekend. (Virginia Beach, Virginia). My sister lives in Alaska and she says it still snowing there from last winter!

However, my son did start on the Christmas outdoor lights yesterday.

Any of you that want snow, I have plenty, I'll send you a whole yard worth of snow, front and back. ;)

It's chilly today. For all of you 72F people it would be freezing, but us it's just chilly at -9C or 15.8F.

    -4 is spring Bear. ;)

    Actually -9 is spring too.

We're really lucky right now, considering how cold it was when I started this thread. I'll take -9C over -30C any day.

I'll pack up my snow and send it your way Bear. Merry Christmas, go make a snow village. ;)

It just got above freezing here yay! But.. the forecast is for a brief melt with rain/sleet then a major freeze, plummeting temperatures, and a lot more snow. Gee, that lot will make the roads even more fun. Our local shop has run out of nearly everything, hope they get a few deliveries before the next big freeze or we will be living on rice and pasta soon. We hit -14 early yesterday morning so 1c feels positively pleasant. Bracing myself for the next drop. Cooking up big batches of carrot and lentil soup to keep us warm. :)

That soup sounds nice QP might see if I have any in
Lucky for me I have a massive sainsburies just round the corner for me if I need anything so I don't have to brave the roads unless I have to.

    Keep warm :)
