I can put you all to shame with my gigs...
- Britney Spears
That's right, I said Britney Spears. 4 lads off to see Britney in concert. Were we going for the music? Of course not.- Stereophonics supported by Feeder
The phonics were good but not great. Feeder on the other hand played a great set.- Lifehouse
Great concert although the venue was a bit titchy for it.
I've not been to many concerts though :( Add Lemon Jelly, Blondie and Fun Loving Criminals to that list and you have all the concerts I have been to see in my 24 years of life.
Aerosmith only concert I have seen. But my mother in law was at woodstock she said she ran naked most of the evening.
I am probably going to age myself... but maybe not as many as some.
Billy Squire - Stroke me Stroke me Stroke Stroke
Foreigner - Urgent Urgent it's got to be Urgent
Rush - Tom Sawyer
Went mostly country after that.
My first three concerts were,
Type O negative
Motley Crew
And 311 with papa roach opening for them... that was cool
And in Killswitch Engage and that's about it for concerts for me.
Bim.Just noticed you said Rush.In my opinion, they are "the thinking persons rock band".Neal Peart has written some outstanding lyrics over the years.Have seen them many times, since 1975,so I guess,I.m ageing myself as well. :D
When I think of Foreigner,I think of Juke Box Hero.
The 1st tickets I bought were for Elto John, but my dad wouldn't let me go.
So the real 1st was Johny Cash w/ my dad
2nd was Elton John(2 years later & I got to go! )
3rd was either Poison or Gloria Estifn(?) when she was w/ her brother & sisters, were they call the Jets or something?
Since then, AC/DC, Def Lepord, Johny Cash (again) Beach Boys, Monkees, Chicago, Peter Gabrial, Billy Joel w/ Elton John, Billy Joel, Elton John (total of 32 times), Andrea Buchelli, Kixx, Bobby Vinton, Jim Straffod, Charlie Pride, Box Car Willie, Harry Connick, Jr. & I am sure that I am forgetting many; the following w/ my dad - Little Jimmy ****ens, Kitty Wells, The statler Brothers, Roy Clark,
Rush is good, but I don't know if they are above led zeppelin, nirvana, pearl jam, pink floyd, and even the who, or neil young, as for the "the thinking persons rock band."
Wizzkid,all the bands you name,including Neil Young,are superb.Rush,in my opinion,are a class act,with their thought provoking songs.
I agree with you, I misinterperted your comment, I thought you said they were like THE "thinking person's rock band", I too like rush, and I can understand where your coming from. It's all good though, they are all good bands and hopefully someone might come here and check them out from our discussion. Peace.

Thanks, Tom,
... Neil Diamond! Excellent! :)
Happy New Year,
Mary Sue
Sweet Caroline of course is the song the Red Sox play during the 7th inning stretch and during New York Rangers hockey games. It is also prominent in the movie "Beautiful Girls" where Tim Hutton does a bar room sing -along rendition of the song.
I never was much for concerts and only attended one…Evita.Quote:

Okay... good laugh for you all... I have never been to an actual concert. If you want to be nice and let me count my local music festival... then I have been to 2, heehee. Most of the people there I didn't know... but saw Cindy Lauper (sp?).
I saw her also . She was the opening act at a Cher concert . She rocks! I liked her act better than Cher's .
The Blue bells
Sly and Family Stone
Bob Marley
This is when concerts were only around $20.00.
Needless to say, it was a while back.
My first three concerts were:
Bon Jovi - One Wild Night - Glasgow

Bit repetitive I know, but I love Bon Jovi and they were all amazing concerts!

3 Aussie bands that no-one here would know :p
Forgot about that one . I saw it on Long Island NY . Went to West Point last year to see it performed with Ted Neeley revising his film role on stage .Quote:
The original road tour of Jesus Christ Superstar
Manfred Mann
Gentle Giant
Van Halen (a$$less chaps on Roth):D
Yes if you could put up with the slightl slowing down the score ,otherwise it was a really good performance.Quote:
After nearly 40 years, can he still wail like he did?
It was much better than when I saw Richard Harris in 1983 trying to play King Arthur in a stage version of Camelot.
