Hey!!! I never thought about that!

    I feel a notch better! :)

I think that would be an excellent occupation for you. I think it would also be a great step toward open a rescue of your own.

I don't live near a zoo, but you can bet I am going find out every thing possible about learning animal behavior. I did get excepted to the agricultural collage here. I was going to be taking animal science, but I bet I could expand on that!

You certainly would have to know the animal science stuff, so yeah. How would you find out more? Does the ag college offer behavior training as part of the animal science program?

You could be like this woman --

    (I'm really excited about this!)

Me too! Ok, I have no idea how I am going to find out... yet. But once I put my mind to something... I don't know if the agri does offer this type of thing. But I am going to look into it. Also a friend of mine is a trainer, she has only been doing it for 20 years (yea, that's just a beginner in the dog training world). I'm going to ask her how and where she started her training.

Thanks you guys! Cat and bear, you have no idea how much that means! :) WG, thank you for the ideas!

    Same here!

Bella, look into on-line classes, etc. too. You aren't limited to just what is in your community.

And she might be able to practice on real animals in real situations while she's studying -- if not for free, maybe for a nominal amount. In fact, I have this bossy female cat who thinks she owns the house...

Hmm I found this as far as online classes...

Animal Behavior Course in Denver, Fort Collins, United States

I wonder though, how people would view online credentials to in school credentials?

    Your welcome bella :)

Good for you, keep that positive attitude, unfortunately I don't know anything about getting into looking after animals, but I can root for you and wish you the best of luck :)

My son got two master's degree through online courses with a reputable college program. No one has ever questioned him about that. It isn't the online part; it's the college/uni/institution part that is important.

Online courses are important nowadays, allowing people to continue their education while at home taking care of a family or a farm or an elderly relative. One of our best state schools offers a professional librarian degree with online classes.

You guys are awesome. I am still frustrated with the things going on in my life, but you know this is giving me something to focus my time and energy on.

I can tell you when I return to work tomorrow I will feel pretty low again. I am dreading the thought of going there, I am actually having stomach pains just thinking about it. It is emotionally and mentally draining. I am shocked at the un professionalism in such a professional setting. I mean it's not like we are in high school. I work for an accounting firm.

Knowing all isn't hopeless is a help. Knowing that you guys care enough to talk me through this is so helpful. I was really excited about going back to school. I lost that feeling somewhere, and I am starting to feel it again.

I still feel like I am constantly changing my life to accommodate all the crap that keeps happening to me. I feel like I am always picking myself up from one bad situation or another. And I have to say, it's a bit this heartening. But one step at a time right?

    KISS

Well, it's possible that your too trusting and too honest.

At work, you have to look out for you and no one else.

Comedy, humor and animals are great ways of relieving stress.

Not dealing with the needed surgery could have been part of you demise by reducing productivity.

True KISS, but how can one become not so trusting and honest?

How can I take something that is truly and honestly me, and change that? I know change is good... and change is knowledge, but how would I balance between me and a robot?

Get your side of the street set with impermeable bounds and keep your chin up,

The depression is what's keeping you down,it is making you think you are less than, that's the nature of depression.
Please don't project what tomorrow's work day is going to be like, you only have right now to worry about, live in the moment and let tomorrow take care of itself.

It's hard not to think about tomorrow. The minute I get off work, I start thinking about how I have to go back the next day.
