I think she will be fine. Especially knowing that she understood it was 'bad' had she been interested in it, that would bother me.

Definitely talk to your parents hon.

And I agree with you about the lower ammounts of family movies. They have come out with ice age 3 now and madagascar 2 is still fairly new if you haven't seen it yet?

I haven't seen the 'UP' movie yet so I can't speak for that one. (the 'balloon house movie' as my daughter and her cousin call it lol)

If worse comes to worse, watch the older disney movies. Although I have to tell you, some of those movies have inuindos in them :P just not as blatent as they are NOW you know? :P

Give me a second and ill remmeber some of them. How old are you? (sorry if you said already and I missed it)

Mmm the BIGGEST one I can remember is roger rabit. :P that was FULLY intended for kids. But they added some adult content so that parents would enjoy it as well. Have you SEEN jessica rabbit!! LOL

    OK here we go...

    OK here we go...

In Aladdin. In the scene where Aladdin and Jasmine are to take a magic carpet ride, Aladdin calls on Jasmine to come with him, and continues to speak under his breath “teenagers take off your clothes”

In The Lion King, when Simba, plops down and a cloud of dust and leaves, it forms the letters S-E-X, with each letter fading as the next becomes clear. Also Simba is talking to his father in the night sky where stars can be seen. Upon connecting these stars, a penis is formed

*many people already know this one, I still have this cover today lol*
the little mermaid has a few. A penis on the cover. The priest marrying prince eric and ursula at the end has a 'woody' (which is suppose to be his knee, but its in totally the wrong place)
there was also something on an early poster that was supposedly too distastefull to even mention.

and aparently there was a recal of a version of The rescuers lol. While bernard and bianca (the mice) are flying on the bird in the city, in the background in one of the city buildings, there is a topless woman in a window

    I got these from...

    http://www.bgsu.edu/departments/tcom.../gp13/gp13.pdf

I didn't cut and paste. I did some. But some of it I just summerized.

As far as adult content goes, why does Michael Meyers with a knife and gallons of red glycerine qualify as children's faire while Jenna Jameson with a condom and cups of white cornstarch is adults only?

I have killed, I have maimed, I have made love. Guess which I would rather my kids know how to do?

Nice examples, yeah, I can't believe Lion King has that? That movie is 110% for kids and for young kids, older kids' wouldn't even watch that. They shouldn't think that they HAVE to put something sexual in kids' movie so parents will watch it... Imagine you watching a movie with some kids and the movie suddenly goes to a part where it's completely inappropriate, haha, imagine how uncomfortable you'll feel. :D

    I'm 14.

Hey survivorboi! Just found your thread. I'm shocked of all the stuff they put in cartoons intended for kids...

It's only some years ago that I noticed those things while watching a cartoon movie, I forgot which, but that made me 'flinch' and I looked at my little sister who was watching too. Fortunately, I think she didn't notice what was happening. Now I realise that these are not only in a few cartoons, but actually in many more...

    Those producers nowadays...

But the Rescuers one is true! snopes.com: 'The Rescuers' Topless Scene

Personally I don't mind my kids seeing a breast versus seeing people's faces being blown off in graphic detail.

WHat are you talking about? I have watched those movies so many times with my children and G-d children and have never seen anything like that, and I REALLY watch them, because I like them (except for the sad parts that make me cry)
WOW, I must not have any clue:confused:

Yes Dahlia, I think those are true, you can check the links that NeedKarma posted, they're there.

These producers hide those pretty well, but evident enough for those who look at every detail.

Actually most are not true, just the Rescuers one.

For the Little Mermaid, I saw it's not true, but for the Lion King, the dust particles do tend to form the word 'sex'. =/
