Amazingly, my friend and I found *three violins* in my dumpster. Sadly, I called the police because I didn't want to keep them if they were stolen. An officer came and took them to the station for "safe keeping" while they investigated. They said I could have them back after six months if no one claimed them.

Needless to say, the police changed their story, they are going to auction off the violins next year at a "police auction".

So much for trying to do the right thing... :(

choux, I worked in an industrial laundry and found 500 dollars in a pair of pants and I gave it back... my reward was 25 from my company and zilch from the customer, which by the way the employee was stealing drugs from that company that he was working for. You would have thought I would have at least gotten a thank you. I turned in the money because I was honest, not for the reward. No one had reported it missing nor would have because it was drug money. But anyhoo a year or so later I randomly bought a scratch off lottery and won 500 dollars, in 1 lump and many times 25 and 50. I truly believe in karma.

Jesus,oh I think sometimes it happens instantly. I was leaving work 1 day and passed by a man with a sign... need food, I felt so sorry for him and I had only 2 bucks.. I was poor working for 3.35 an hr. I said to myself if I had more than 2 bucks I would by you lunch... went straight to that little store bought a ticket... won 25, they had a deli where they sold soup and sandwichs bought him a sandwich bowl of soup and a drink gave him bus fare a name of a free place to stay.
Yes I am sure that I have been ripped off many times, but I have also feed and helped a many hungry person and animal. Thank goodness I no longer have to depend on scratch offs and I have a decent job.

My Bro was a cop and I believe in N.Y. he did every thing he could to be fair. When I moved out of N.Y was the first experience I ever had with prejudice. I was pulled over for speeding and taken in for being a illegal, I'm brunette, brown eyed and olive skinned, 5 ft 8-to 9 though. I had a CDL at the time and yet spent 3 days in jail trying to convenience Immigration not to ship me back to Mexico. They spoke to me only in spanish, which I never took in school so I was labeled beligernet.
