Some things i regret and would do differently is the most simple things that would have not
changed my life but the moment in time.
I wish that when I was 8 yrs old and my Grama called me by my pet name and I told her
never call me that again Im a big girl now, and she never did and I still remember seeing the hurt look on her face, I wish I could go back and erase that comment.
I wish that when I had to do a school report I didn't make up stuff to make the story sound good. I made my mom sound bad and she read it and got her feelings hurt.
If I could go back to when my kids were babies I would have realised how fast they grow up and have played more held them more ect.

You are a good person Treeny; Like the others have said; those life experiences have made you the wonderful person that you are now. Any changes made to the past or if things had happened differently may have resulted in something different.

    Glad to see this Treeny...

One of the last visits I had with my Dad, when he was still able to understand what was said and could talk, was if he had any regrets in his life. He said he had "one or two" and those were 1. not staying in the Army after WWII 2. not going back to the Figi Islands while he was still able. He had wanted to go back and revisit the places he was at and find some of the people who saved his unit from the Japanese. He had corresponded with two of the people but had lost track of them.

I would have stayed with my grandfather the night he passed

Wouldve chased a girl or two with much more effort

Wouldve left one or two much, much earlier

Would have spent even more time with my son asleep on my chest as a baby

Would have paid more attention to how I spent my money

Would pay even more attention to how I spent my time

Did I mention the girls I wouldve chased a little more? Thought so.

    Wouldve hesitated less

    Probably apologized more

Wouldve stopped for chinese on the way home tonight. Damn that sounds good.

I answered that question very honestly in another forum. Wow! You would have thought I had just confessed to a murder. People went wild at me.

Okay. Here goes… I’m going to try again. To understand my reply you have to know something about me and my life. If you’re new here, a read at my posts will fill you in. So here goes….

If I had my life to live over I would buy a gun and f***** shoot myself!

It was meant to be a joke. Well sort of. ;)

I wish that back in September of 1977, on that grey, rainey Saturday morning, I had booted that sorry bi$#@ out instead of going to breakfast and then back to my place for a wild nooner.

I wish that I could trade my every offensive, and argumentative word for a kind, supportive, and encouraging one.

    Yes life is to short!
Take care, and may you find comfort in knowing that your dear friend and her baby are in a beautiful place.

If I could live life over I would change everything differently

    - I would have tried to make my dad and mom not get a divorce
    - I would try to be a better person
    - I would try to help more people than I hurt
    - I would hang out with my best friend more before he moved away
    - I would not have stopped doing hockey and baseball

The list goes on and on

Sgt I'd like to point out that you help plenty of people all the time. You provide some very wonderfully insightful posts for someone so young.

That is called learning from mistakes and growing up and maturing.

We all become better when we realise our mistakes and that life is short...

Yes, I would change a lot of things... One main thing that I would change escpecially if I knew I was going to meet my boyfriend... I never would have done some things I regret from before I knew him... But we can't go back or anything so we just have to learn from our mistakes.
