"On a bright note. The company I had the interview with is calling my references, so maybe I didn't do to badly after all."

Great! Now do as I suggested... call them back and just say that you are very interested and that you wanted to check...

If you are getting good reports... calling now could help you a lot.

I know that when I hire I like to see initiative... goes a long way with me.

I normally would Stringer, but they're hiring 50 people just for my position and then 300 nurses for the actual immunization portion of the job. They have a lot on their plate. I'm actually really surprised they called all my references.

I was thinking I'd give it another week, then email as it's less intrusive. I don't want to be the applicant that annoys the crap out of them by calling while their this busy. ;)

I'm getting a better feeling about the whole thing. My one reference basically told them they were idiots if they didn't hire me. The lady that called said she agreed. It's sounding promising. :)

Fingers crossed. That's what I'm doing now.

Wrong thought process hon, way wrong. Make a short phone call, it won't bother them, it WILL show interest... just call, believe me.

Good luck Alty. I bet you will get it for sure.

It can go both ways on calling about it. I like to call about a week after I apply to check on it and that is it. I had one guy call EVERY day to check on his application. Do you think I chose him as a hiring choice? Well, I think you can figure that one out.

Anyway peeps. I am out the door as well. I will talk to whoever is here in the morning.

Exactly. A short phone call will do greatly. Never repetitive or anything.

    Hi Black,

What exactly does she want to do? Start her own business? And if so, doing what?

She has been studying natural health for years and has a few qualification. She wants to start her own small clinic at home, turn one of the rooms into an office, like a consultation room and clients will come to her for a health advice and stuff. Its basically natural therapies where all the treatments are herbs and natural stuff

So she needs to be licensed to do this?

Does she also need a business license?

Is she planning to do any marketing of her business?

I need to get to bed, but this is interesting Black. I'll get back tomorrow... K?

Hello everyone who is still online!
    (Noone? Lol)

In case you are wondering, I am now the proud owner of a PS2!

For just $70, I moved up from Wii/XBox, to Wii/XBox/PS2/ComputerGames (still have the laptop (on it now) and the general desktop)

    Now, all I need is:
    An extension cord!

But... yeah! Yay for nerds and their digital video games! :p:):D

Hehehehe, Black, eBay is for suckers, it's all about CraigsList!

But, have you checked Craigslist in your area?
craigslist: sydney classifieds for jobs, apartments, personals, for sale, services, community, and events

It has it's own link from the international board, so I'd think it's used pretty often.
You may not be able to find it, too much stuff can't be found locally, but at least on Craigslist, you don't have to pay shipping to return something if it doesn't work! :)

Cool... I'll check out craigslist sometime... saved it as a fav now... but I'm also looking at gumtree... not a bad site too... All good :)
