Not quite my leader, but a great guy nonetheless. Stringer is one of the few males that visit this thread, he is entertaining, kind, sweet, nice, and if I keep this up then he might get conceited.;) He's one of a kind, and we all love him to pieces. :)

    What about me Alty:(

Well I only told the truth. :)

How are you dear? How's life treating you? I'm doing okay, finally feeling better (knock on wood). I have to get my butt in gear, I'm making key boxes for the kids teachers as a thank you gift. Jared has two teachers, Sydney has one, so I have to get cracking. Summer break is almost here.

Other news, I might be going to LA (California) in September for 4 days. Me myself and I. I have a friend that lives there, he said I could stay with him, otherwise it wouldn't be affordable. I'm excited, and nervous, four days without my hubby and kids, I'll probably be crying because I miss them on day two. I think it would be good for me, and for them. Now I just have to get my passport renewed, which is no mean feat. I live in Canada, but I'm a german citizen, in order to get my passport renewed I have to fly to Vancouver or Toronto, I'm in Edmonton, Alberta, that's a bit of a flight, actually I think Toronto is a longer flight than to LA. Sad, I'm doing my best to find a loophole. ;)

They WILL miss you... but that is super, a nice little time away. Too bad you won't see Chicago on the way.

Never been to LA, never been to Chicago, heck, there's allot of places I've never been. ;) I think it will be good for them, it will make them appreciate me more. ;) I've been a stay at home mom for almost 10 years, they rely on me, which is great, but they also have to learn to rely on Daddy and on themselves a bit. It's only 4 days, I have a feeling I'll miss them more than they'll miss me.

I'd love to go to Chicago one day, heck, I'd love to see the entire world. My main goal, trip with family, will be to visit my relatives in Germany, I miss them so much, and they're so far away. :( Maybe next year.

Hello all, back for a bit. I'm getting my hair done tonight, I'm excited.

    Should I;

    A. Get it cut short.
    B. Keep it long but get it layered
    C. Shave it all off (kidding)
    D. Go blonde (also kidding)
    E. Keep it the same, just a trim (it's slightly layered, and down to my chest, when I'm not wearing a bra,;))

    Any ideas?

Forgot to log off while having dinner, sorry.

Ah Stringer, poor man, breasts, bras, and no pics, sorry, can't do it, there are children on this site. Besides, I wouldn't want to get you boys all excited. ;)

Bear, I'm doing okay, going to get my haircut in 1/2 hour. Nobody had any advice on what I should have done, maybe I should just shave it off, it will be nice and cool for the summer. ;)

Went to see an old friend today... it was her wake, she passed last Sunday. She looked beautiful and very peaceful... as I knew her. She had many people come to see her from all over the U. S. and the world... she was special to me too.

She was an Italian Mom who always seemed to have an apron on... And whenever we visited she made me feel like I was her "first born", always made me feel very special and in a warm place. She never let my plate go empty even though I protested.. to no avail. And it seemed that I always received a little more than the others. She was 67 when she passed and she still pinched both my cheeks no matter who was around and told me how handsome I was, even though I ceased being a kid a long time ago.

I feel a little shallow space in my chest right now... you know, you just don't replace these special people and I seem to be losing way too many of them lately...

I had to get this off my heart, thank you for listening.

I am going to sleep now, see you all tomorrow.

Thank you Start you are a sweetheart if there ever was one.

Yes you are so right about how she influenced my life. It just doesn't seem fair, so many people are still in need of her... too many of the good ones are slipping away, way too soon, it is sad.

Hug all the ones you love sweet, and don't ever let go.

Stringer, I am so sorry for your loss. Sounds like it is also a real loss to the world, her passing. It is touching to read your post. Too many guys cannot express their feelings. Please know that you are special to all of us here and when one of us hurt, we all hurt.

I too have had too much loss but it seems everyone I know is having lots of trials, tribulations and sadness. God gives us each other to hold each other up when we hurt. I am thankful for all of you on this thread.

Stringer, the sadness will pass and when you think of her, the memories will soon bring only smiles and laughter to replace the tears of your loss. How fortunate you are to have had this woman in your life. Amazing woman. Your words make me almost feel I knew her also and miss her also.

Cry when you need to... share here as you need to... Love and Hugs!

Oh Stringer, the loss of a loved one is always painful, and it's hard to accept. Honey, remember always who she was, to you, to everyone who knew her. She obviously made her mark in this world, and people are better for having known her. I'm so sorry for your loss, and so happy that she can finally have peace, I hope you understand what I mean by that. Big hugs Stringer, my heart goes out to you.

Yup, and thinned out, I have super thick hair, it's crazy thick. My hairdresser is great, it's exactly what I wanted, and still pretty long. It feels so much lighter and healthier.

    How are you Rebbie?

    Dear Stringer,

My deepest sympathy to you and those of her family left behind.

When I lost my aunt and step-dad, it felt as if the world would never be the same, but I also knew that they were in a better place, with no more pain and earthly worries. And, I truly feel that those we loved will never leave us.. they will always be there when we least expect it. Please don't think this strange, but I do feel them when I'm down and need someone - they are the ones that are always there - they truly communicate with me and comfort me. And, that, my dear is what is making me look forward to 'being there' when my time comes, to be with my grandson without the physical limitations of age or illness.

Don't be surprised if and when you feel those cheeks of yours being held or stroked. I sincerely believe that it will happen and that you will keep your fond memories forever. When you miss her, light a candle and she will be there. She loves you still - that I am sure of, so let her in your heart and she will ease the pain of that empty space.

Lots of love and warm hugs dear.

Thanks everyone, especially Start, Rebbie, Joe and Chery.

    Rose was her name.

I just received a call from her sister who wanted to reminisce about her many memories. She said the thing she would miss the most was; every time she would gossip about someone Rose would kiddingly slap her on the shoulder and say. "Mary, remember what mom taught us, if you can't say something nice about someone....."

Then she cried, it is so hard, I didn't have the right words...

Hey there Stringer, you have been on my heart and mind. I am glad you posted again today. Don't worry about not having the right words... you were there for Rose's sister at a time she really needed someone. I have gone through some really traumatic things in my life and have found that people stay away because they don't know what to say or they are afraid of saying the wrong things... that hurts so much... so you being there just to listen to her was so important. I know that ministered to her needs at that moment. You are a special person! Loss is never easy but having someone to share your pain with and relive fun memories with helps to mend the brokenness in our spirits. You were a blessing to Rose and now to Rose's sister. We are all thinking of you and Rose's family and pray God eases the pain. Time will help but we need comfort in the midst of our extreme pain and only God can give that. Realize that even in your pain, you are blessing others, not just Rose's family but all who read your posts here.
