I got back from Hawaii yesterday, but I'm in LA now. I spent last night with an old college friend, but I'm leaving in about an hour to rent a car and drive to my grandfather's house. I'll be without a computer while I'm there, so just taking this opportunity to say hi. Hawaii was very nice. :)

Thanks. I had originally planned to go to Oahu and Maui, but as it turned out I also went to Kauai and The Big Island. It was a little rainy, but there were enough sunny days to do a little surfing and jetskiing. I even tried windsurfing and parasailing. I also went snorkeling, one of my favorite things to do.

Well, I'm heading off to my grandfather's house now. Hope everyone is well, and Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Americans. :)

I am in shock right now. Utter shock.

I just got an email from Jo's (Starby's) Aunt. Jo's brother Rob passed away yesterday of a heart attack.

Rob was my age, actually a bit younger. He has a young daughter. He has a wife and step kids.

I can't believe this.

Will this family ever get a break? Two children gone in one year. It's too much.

No way, that is so awful Alty. It does not seem like they are getting a break does it.

Life can be so short. There was a major accident a couple of days ago, Close to Calgary. 4 young people died and the only survivor was an infant.

When it rains it pours, doesn't it Joe?

I'm in complete shock over this. I can't believe it.

Will this family ever get a break?

I sure hope and pray they do...

They don't have much left to lose, do they? Half their children are now deceased.

This is horrible, now Christmas will be minus two loved ones. The worst time of year for this to happen. Not that there's a good time.

Ya I can deal. It mostly just gets me at night. My throat and chest were killing me for a bit every time I coughed but that part is gone. I can deal with just the cough. I will gladly take yours if it will make you feel better.
