I'm feeling a teeny bit better, but even a teeny bit makes me happy. I'm breathing a bit better and the coughing is slowing down a bit too. I hope I get some sleep tonight, it would be nice.

It all started.. about a few weeks ago.. . I often go to DD at night to grab a cup of coffee and study... as it's 24/7. I've been going there for the past 4 years or so... but just a few weeks ago, while I was studying outside on one of the tables, this guy asks me for a light.
So I give him a light... then he plops down at my table and starts talking to me. I'm CLEARLY studying. He starts asking questions such as... what're you studying for... where'd you go to school... what do your parents do etc.
I answer politely, but without looking up at him as I'm again... clearly studying. After 20 min of this, I text a friend of mine (I can text on my bberry without looking) to call. She calls... so I leave.
this happens... over... and over... and over... again. This guy's really bizarre. He'll sit down and talk to me about the most RANDOM things... dopplegangers (people that look exactly like you but the two people don't know one another)... identity theft... and some guy who hit his car and took off. He's a really bizarre man. Every time, I'm trying to study... he'll sit down, ask me for a light, and start talking.
Once, I told him I didn't have a light... so he asked everyone else for a light, finally gets one, and sits down in front of me again.
The bizarre part's not over yet. He puts on sunglasses... at night.. . we're OUTSIDE... at 10pm. There's lighting from the dunkin donuts... that I use to study from... but he's outside, wearing sunglasses... on his laptop.
Today was the last straw. I was studying. He brings in his laptop, food container, and drink. Starts eating... and talking to me. I simply nod, smile, don't even look at him... give him one of those "uh huh's". After he's done eating, he puts on his sunglasses, and gets on his laptop.. . then, out of his pocket, pulls out nail clippers.
... he starts clipping his toenails. At the dunkin donuts. While wearing sunglasses... while on his laptop.
... I had to bail.
I'm glad you met weird chinese guy.

Haha, trust me... you should have seen me when I saw him whip out the clippers and start clipping away. And it wasn't like he was trying to be discrete... or anything. You can see the toenails go "peeyooo" as it flew in the air every time he clipped.

Don't tell your doc I told you this...
... but drinking while taking antibiotics doesn't really "negate" the antibiotics... nor do they actually interfere with one another. J_9 can potentially tell you more about it, as I am... just a student ;) but from what I understand, it's because the alcohol will hit the liver as well as the antibiotics... and thus the liver function will diminish. But... this is of course, heavy... heavy... drinking.
So... yes, you can have a beer... I've seen people chase down their antibiotics with scotch... and things worked out just fine. I have yet to see a patient come in because they mixed antibiotics + alcohol together.
My attorney says I have to put a disclaimer: I am not a doctor. Take my advice with a grain of salt.. . thanks.
I always just thought that mixing the two just made the antibiotics less effective. Good to know! LOL! ;)
Nope. Not less effective. It's the aftereffects. Drinking a lot of alcohol + taking any medication will just harm the liver... too much trash going into a small trash bin.
Sneezy I could kiss you right on the mouth, I would, but I'm contagious. I'm having one beer, yes, one. I just love the taste and I haven't had one in a while. Thanks Sneezy. :)

About Wiggy and the not straining. How long before he can strain? TMI?
TMI would be when someone from amhd (not mentioning names) e-mails you asking about leakage (not going to say from where)... and describing it in GREAT detail.. . I was eating while reading my e-mails. Urgh.
How's he feeling overall? Is he still on the ibuprofen? He should be feeling almost no pain now... and should be able to walk normally. Usually, he can "strain" after about a week or so... but since his pain didn't subside right away, I suggest waiting maybe a day or two more.
Leakage? Well, that will ruin your appetite. ;)
Thanks for the info. Now a bit more tmi, everyone else don't read this! When will the surgery itself do what it's supposed to. How long before we can stop being careful and taking precautions? Jeeze Alty, I feel like a teenager asking her dad if she can go on the pill. :);)

Well, I'm sure his doc told him... he has to go in for a sterility checkup in about 2 months... then again at three months. Usually, by the third month, most men are sterile. He's now just trying to "clear out" the sperm that's left in his vas deferens. It takes anywhere between 20 - 50 (I know it's a HUGE range... but... yeah) ejaculations to clear it out.
