The vet wants to euthanize him.
I found a site that claims to have homeopathic remedies for parvo, I posted it, hopefully that will help. It's a race against time though.
Unfortunately parvo is a terrible disease for dogs, and once they've had it they can get it again. The most common cause of death due to parvo is dehydration. I don't know if anything can be done for this pup. Obviously the vet thinks it could, otherwise he wouldn't have offered the treatment. It makes me sad. If I were a vet and someone couldn't afford treatment for their pet, and I new that treatment would work, I'd do it for free, or at least work out a payment plan. Poor puppy.
Sneezy, are you here?
Please check out this post and see if you can give this girl some advice. I'm the only one who's responded so far and only with info I found on the net. Maybe you can give her better advice and info. Actually, I'm sure you can.

Yep. Just posted.
Thanks sweetie.
Where's HC?
Starby, the puppy has been euthanized. I did post a few things but it was already to late. Don't be sad sweetie, parvo is very hard to cure, even with a vets help. Are you okay?
I'm here... just had to twist the arm of someone to make me a pot of coffee... I succeeded.
Oooh, can I have a cup, I need it.
Yes, I'll share with you :)
Coffee. Good. Aloe. Good. HC. Good.
Alty bad.
There is no coffee in my department today.
This makes me a sad panda.
sad synnen = sad http://english.people.com.cn/200609/...ges/panda2.jpg
Its just an ugly day, isn't it, Synn? :)
Ugly day, cute panda. Awwwww!
Urrgghhh! My computer crashed! Right in the middle of everything. Poor pup :( That's why shelters should never bring in animals that haven't been fully checked and vaccinated first. Sad!
Cute Panda though! :)
It's sad, but it happens all the time. At least he isn't suffering anymore. I just hope the OP's dog doesn't contract parvo, it's very contagious. If he's vaccinated he should be fine, but vaccines don't always guarantee that you won't catch it.
McDonald's is here, Big Mac here I come, ooh and fries, and a milk shake. Sorry guys, I'm hungry.
Later.
... man I want mickey d's...
Sad.
Parvo is pretty crazy... it also applies to rats as rats have a disease called the kilham rat virus, otherwise known as rat parvo... about 5 years ago, our lab had an outbreak... so we had to wipe out half of our lab.. . we're good now though.
RAH!! (sorry guys... random outburst)
I waited too long to prepare for my tutoring lesson tonight... yes, tonight. I was going to do it this weekend, but alas, I chose sunburn over preparing a lesson.
Now, I'm stuck. 3 hours until class and I'm stuck. Rah...
Yeah, parvo is sooo bad, and it moves quick. I just felt so bad because I was talking to this girl all wkd, and she was trying to get some help for the pup :( Such a cute little guy!

Free donut with purchase of a coffee tomorrow! One good thing about Tax Day! :)
I mailed my taxes today, like a good girl :)
Good job! Now reward yourself with a coffee and free donut in the morning! :)
Well, if I knew where a Dunkin Donuts was, I would.
I haven't seen one of those in YEARS.
Awww... stinkers. :(
I hope the lady that was doing ours mailed our taxes today too!!
I need her to so I can get some cash and feel better. LOL I also need a new pair of jeans, or 3 of them, I am sort of growing out of mine... LMAO! Been a little under a year since I went shopping so I really need to go...
Speaking of buying new jeans... man, I need to...
This losing weight thing is awesome, but I bought a pair of jeans last month and they're now too big! Rah... It's a good problem to have... albeit expensive!! :)
I feel you.
My brother cleaned out my closet this weekend... took everything, including my new tailored suit... I didn't even get to wear it...
He is partial to leather, silk, and satin too, huh? Didn't you say that's all you wear? ;)
Haha. Touché!
I wish I took a before/after picture of my closet...
What was once a closet organized so neatly a clinical OCD patient would have been proud of, filled with shirts arranged via color, suits arranged via price, sweaters, etc...
... I now have about 3 pairs of jeans, a few t-shirts, 3 - 4 button up shirts, and about 2 sweaters. He left me one suit. ONE suit...
One suit... wow...
I understand the need for an orderly closet though... I have two... one (guest bedroom) summer closet and one winter closet. Each closet is arranged according to color - starting with white on the left into black on the right... I'm not OCD... well... maybe a little bit...
It helps knowing that no matter how sleepy I am in the morning, according to where in the closet I reach I can find matching tops and bottoms. Its great.
And very useful on mornings like today...
Well, good night all! I'm off to tutoring... then I'm hitting Sonic for a strawberry shake... mmm...
Y'all have a great night! :)
I'm off as well. I'll be back later from the library, writing my paper. Adios!
My closet is organized according to um... clean.
If it's in the closet, it's clean. If it's NOT in the closet, it's in the dirty clothes basket.
I know I should organize it, but if I did, I'd only ever wear like 3 outfits. Disorganization MAKES me wear my other clothes!
(that's my story, and I'm sticking to it)
Totally with you on that... LOL! I find some nice outfits when I'm forced to use the clean ones hanging in the closet, :)Quote:

Good move Alty... how are you this evening (my morning) are your eyes better?
I'm still consider gauging out lefty, the tear duct is still clogged. Arrrrr!
How's my favorite Australian?
Favourite Australian (blush) Thank you Alty :-)
I'm fine thanks , quite busy at work today actually... ah well , that's what they pay me for!
At least you get paid to work. Stay at home mom is a hard job, the rewards are great, the pay sucks. :)
LOL... I'm sure you get well looked after :-)
Sorry to hear about your cousin by the way.
Thanks M. She very dependent, on her husband and her family, she's never worked and she doesn't think she can. She'll be living with her parents, her and her 3 kids. I don't think she'll ever be able to stand on her own.
I'm actually going back to work come September. Both my kids will be in school full-time. I'm a bit nervous about it and excited about it at the same time. Butterflies in my tummy. :)
