I'm "ready", but I still have to pack. :) I'll be doing laundry today and then packing. I have to bring a huge suitcase... KC is stowing away in it.

They were already away. Don't worry about it. Besides, flirt with me today... or lose me for 3 weeks. (paraphrased from a movie)

You will be back soon enough. Enjoy forgetting it.
Hey little miss vacation, I am supposed to wake up to snow on the ground in the morning. I want you to know I will be cursing you under my breath. ;)

Sorry. It was 74 here yesterday, but they are calling for possible snow this weekend... as long as it doesn't snow tomorrow and delay my flight!

It's always that way here. They always say if you don't like the weather, give it a day. We had our first snowfall (only a dusting) about a month ago. Just days before that it was in the 90's. I wonder if it's the high elevation - I'm at 5200 feet.

    Hi JL,
I hope weather is cooperating with you to let you fly out tomorrow without any problems.:)

Tomorrow should be fine. They usually only close the airport rarely, when the snowfall is 2-3 feet. If we do get snow, it's generally more like a few inches. The nice thing is that I can get to the closest ski resort in 20 minutes, and to Lake Tahoe skiing in less than an hour... but right now I'm looking forward to hitting the tropical beaches. I love choices. :D

I like to see you in the tropical beach as scheduled, but the skiiing is a good option too.
I love ski, and it is fun. I did not know you were living with the high high elevation.

I live in the Sierra Nevadas (the foothills of Reno) which is very close to Lake Tahoe. I don't usually think about the elevation unless I'm cooking or baking (everything takes longer, and you have to adjust your baking usually by adding flour) or when I've been gone a while and come back. It can be tough on people who visit and aren't used to the elevation - they feel tired or get winded easily, especially if they are older. My grandfather really feels it when he visits.

    Bye - have a good day. :)

Hi, Sunny, JLo, KC, and have a good day, Becky. :)

I am getting ready for a new dishwasher to be delivered this afternoon. As much as I want one that works, I really dislike cleaning out where the old one was.

I agree. When my husband does them I have to re-do many of them. He just dips them in the suds, rinse and dry. No scrubbing or looking to see if they are clean.
