Yes capt, about 35 miles south west of downtown. So far this year it hasn't been too bad, in the low 60's. Last year was COLD but very little snow. I spent a Christmas in Maimi once.. it seemed a little strange... 75 degrees. Palm trees w/ Christmas lights... don't know... :)

That's it! I'm finishing my degree in meteorology and going to work for the weather service... the only problem is they won't let me do anything or let me go anywhere.. Because I won't let them make me sell batteries and generators. My goal is to tell it like it actually is. If people get stuck in traffic, because they left too late/too early, the need to know whick way they should be going.
There's talk of reducing air time on the Weather Channel to reduce their air time to substantially less coverage! Because of poor calls.

The weather channel Cap'n? You could stand there and talk about weather for hours on end? When I go to the weather channel to see how the weather in Idaho is going to be, I wait, and I wait and I wait, then I just go look on the puter.:mad:

I won't tow the corporate line. You are expected to say or acknowledge certain conditions base upon models, but the models have flaws that can't react to change quickly enough.

This year the models for the southeast stated it was going to be a substantial hurricane season,. but it wasnt: we're happy. Builders and suppliers aren't, though! Last year they said it would be light, but it wasn't: we got clobbered and wet. We weren't happy but the builders and suppliers are! I say we count our blessings and park the trucks...
