Two yrs in prison, less a day. :( He's in England, so I can't even go see him. I'm afraid for his safety in there. I haven't heard good things about the prison they are taking him to. He did deserve to be punished for what he did, but this was just a little over the top! We were actually thinking he would get time served, and community service. So did his lawyer.
Starby, I am so sorry for the sentence. I know your heart is breaking. For now, just love him, believe in him, pray for his safety as will I. I know you are in a state of shock probably. As I shared with you earlier, my friend's son did such a turn around because of being in prison and I pray the same thing for your son. I know your heart is breaking. I held Denise in my arms as she cried and cried over her son. It just hurts to the core of our being. I am just so sorry. I will call you later!
Time does pass and he will get through this! Just try to keep good thoughts and not allow fear into your heart. Maybe he will get placed in a different facility. My words may seem hollow right now, I know. When we hurt so deeply, words mean little but know this, I love you and my heart breaks for you and for your son and your daughter. I will keep you all in my prayers as well as praying for the jailers that they show kindness and respect to your son.
Thanks Rebby. Yeah, I don't think it's quite fully hit me yet. For whatever reason, the other two guys involved were in the court room and sentenced at the same time, and the judge said he was going to use Ben to set an example. It's really ironic. His Dad gets a $400 fine for what he did to me, and Ben gets 2 yrs. for something similar.
I haven't gotten into the shower yet today, because I didn't want to miss a call, but I need to jump in sometimes soon, because I need to run out for awhile. So if I'm not here when you call, I will call you back okay?
Try to take a good hot long shower to help you relax, easier said than done, I know. If I miss you when I call, we will connect later... no worries there.

Pretty good, installed a new Hard drive on the HP because of the 'blue screen' incedent. Loaded cain and abel and I'm looking for blood (the guy who uploaded a virus on my puter) any rate- My weekend doesn't start until tomorrow. Jack is going to his Grammy's for the weekend.
Starby, just a thought, however small but a thought;
With all the over crowding in prisons in most areas a lot are being released early with good behavior. Some serve about half of their terms.
I know that this may not be the answer you may be seeking dear but it is some hope.

You can actually get rid of it spydy by deleting the attachment
I did, I hit edit then I deleted the Attachment and when I saved it , it still had the attachment on the post

Click the "edit" button
Click "go advanced"
Click on the paper clip thingy and then click "manage attachments"
You then have the option to "Remove"
When she reads the text after the post she will understand I'm sure, don't worry about it Spyder.

I sure hope that is the case Stringy, although of course I don't even want to see him serve that. He has always been such a good kid. I never even had to wake him up for school in the mornings, and never had to tell him to behave himself, or even clean up after himself. In fact he did more than he was asked to do. He wouldn't even let me drive him to school in -30 weather. He liked the walk! Sometimes I didn't give him a choice, but while I was getting dressed, he would be out scraping my windows and starting the car. He was always considerate like that. He made a very stupid mistake, and now that is where he is sitting. I've heard bad things about the prison he is going to be in, and I'm just scared he's going to be hurt. He's only 18, and he is going to be around hardened criminals. Probably some murderers and rapists, and gang members. :( He wrote a very heartfelt letter to the boy that was hurt, and also to the boys parents and family... and also to his own family. He feels very remorseful. The other two boys involved don't at all.Quote:

Thank you Cher! I'm going to sit and write him a long letter, and send it to Sam to take to her brother, when she goes to visit him. I'm going to find out if I'm allowed to send other things to keep him busy. Also if I can send him a C'mas gift and B'day (in January) gift. I'll have to find out what their rules are. I've never had to deal with anything like this before, especially in England, so who knows what kind of limitations they have. It's the reality of it though, so I guess I just have to deal with it.
Maybe I could send him a case of Yammish! LOL! Remind me to tell you what that is one of these days. Ben likes to play practical jokes, and really had me going on "Yammish" (which doesn't exist) one time. He "almost" got me good, but the joke got turned around in the end! ;)
