Actually, I have some good news. I have an appointment with a surgeon on September 1, he wants to do a pre-op exam, than he'll be booking my surgery. It's the first step, so this is really good. :)

That's great news Alty, so as I understand it, he's going to draw on you with a marker pen drawing dotted lines where he's going to cut right ?

Then you can't have a shower until after he's done so they don't wear off :)

    Hey Unky :)

    hey Unky :)

LOL. It's not that type of surgery Bear, although I wouldn't be opposed to that. A little nip there, a tuck here, remove a bit of this and that, make other things stand at attention. Hmmmmm. ;)

Sadly it's not going to be a surgery where I'll look better afterwards, but I'm hoping that I'll feel much better. :)

Thanks Q. I'm actually excited about it. Not the surgery, but feeling better afterwards. I'm hoping this does the trick, at least partially, so that I can feel like me again. :)

Sadly there's nothing they can do about the IBS, but this surgery should put a little less strain on that part, so it may help a bit with that as well.

    I'm optimistic. :)

Id say that is a better surgery than one making you look better, hopefully this will be the key that unlocks the door to you feeling better :)

Fingers crossed for you Alty :)

    Alty

Thanks Bear. Now I just have to go through the surgery. That will be the hard part, but I'm a toughie, I'll bounce back quickly. Besides, I have two great kids and a hubby to help me. :)

    You sure do :)

Sending my best wishes to you and any good luckh I have saved up for a rainy day

When is the surgery? If its not too personal to ask

    Alty

I won't know when the actual surgery is until I go for my appointment on September 1. He wants to do an examination first, check my blood levels etc, and if I'm good to go, he'll book it. If not, I'll have to do whatever I have to do to get ready for the surgery before they can do it.

Hopefully I'm ready to go, but it may still be a while. Still, this first step is a path to the next, so I'm happy. :)

Not really. It just means that the medication I'm on is doing what it's supposed to do. This operation will hopefully mean that I can go off the medication and it will mean less pain, discomfort, less days spent in bed because I'm too worn out to get up. :)

    It's all positive. :)
