New owner must have high tolerance for the following:
*Sucky drum playing

Serious inquiries only please. I wouldn't want to get my hopes up that someone would actually take these fruitcakes away from here.
CBW, did Ben let you out of the dungeon for a while, or did you escape? ;)
Miss you lady. Who do I have to kill to make you come back full time? :)
CBW, is that the latest picture of Madame as your avatar? I remember when she climbed like a monkey, I guess she finally turned into one.
"How I Spent My Summer Vacation"
... spending five weeks, traveling 10,585 miles, going through 27 states, riding shotgun in a semi with a truck driver.
Amazing country, but good to be home! :)
Doula, were their kids involved? If not, sounds like a blast. If so, here's a scotch, let me rub your feet for you. ;)
No kids, they were all at home... only Alice, an English Bulldog went along. She's the usual driving partner... :)
It was great (for the most part!)... and surprisingly we didn't run into the "too much togetherness" factor.
It was a test run to see how I liked it and how we would do with the 24/7 aspect as I am considering getting my CDL so that we can team drive during the summers when I am not teaching... :D
Might even become professional tourists when we retire down the road! Get paid to travel the country... :)
Well then no scotch for you. ;)
We haven't done a road trip in so long. I miss it. The last time we did a really long trip (12 hour drive) Jared was 4, Sydney was around 10 or 11 months.
A 12 hour drive took 2 days, lots of breaks in between, lots of crying, whining, and the kids where pretty bad too. ;)
I wish we could do it this year. Now that they're 11 and 7 it should be a lot easier. No diaper changing breaks, frequent potty breaks, breastfeeding on the side of the road in a sweltering car.
The funniest part of that trip was the fact that we had to teach Jared to pee on the side of the road. The kid has a bladder the size of a lentil and has to pee every 1/2 hour. There's not always a bathroom around, so hubby taught him the art of peeing in the bushes on the side of the road.
When we got home, after a 2 week trip, I caught Jared peeing in my flowers. He didn't understand why it wasn't okay, when it was okay on the trip.
I miss those days.
I learned that truck drivers frequently pee in bottles. My aim was not very good, at least that's what I gathered when I looked at Paul's boots in the morning, so I had to resort to peeing in a cup. It was either that or through a funnel... ;)
