Yup, got a nice massage the next day :D

    Spammers should be slapped...
I had that MSN virus thing-o where it would send people advertisements from my account.
Vaughns mum was silly enough to click on one of them thinking it was really from me!

    It broke her computer

I really want to ban them through their computer IP... Unfortunately, don't have those powers... I can only delete all their posts. It's more difficult when they create multiple accounts, make a single post, then create another, make another single post... I have to go through them one by one and delete them... :(

The admin there has not been on for ages! I would like more powers, and then, really slap them, mwuahahahaha! >=)

You should ask for more super powers!
Who would you have to ask?

I think the main reason I got dogs expert on this forum is because I moderate the forum often, I'm on here everyday so I can catch any piggybacked posts or spam.
I can't delete posts but I can move them to the right section and RIP them.

A student who's a year younger than me

He's the admin, recently gave me the power to delete all the posts of a single user, all with a click, and ban them. The problem is that they keep coming. The only good way to ban them for good is by IP banning. I've already made a list of their IP addresses, and waiting for the reply of the admin... :(

Awww, hopefully they get banned for good soon!

You need a Ben and a J_9 on the schools message board, they love banning trolls :D

The admin's screen name is NOG, and I nicknamed him Naughty dOG, lol! :p He had a pitbull as avy, and of course, Unky came by and dropped a nickname! All the other students were rotfl... :p

Haha, I like it how you pick a nickname for yourself on a message board and then people still give you a different one, it's funny :D

Yep, now, the forum of my school is empty, apart from those spammers... my other friends who used to be there almost everyday no more go there... I find myself going there one a week or two. The once very active forum nearly got closed...

    Aww that sucks :(

Get it going again, tell them you will give them all a pie if they come post there again :D

Yes, it's sad... they say they don't have time. Anyway, since there was always the same bunch of students, I think they got bored.

I've heard that some people that owns a site can have money. They get some amount for each click that people do on his/her site... I wonder if AMHD does that... if so, the owner must be really rich! :D

    Hi unky not much

Just discussing the 360 vs ps3 with my brother

Because there's a price drop coming up for the 360 and ps3 (because of the release of the ps3 slim)

    So I'm considering getting a 360 elite
  • Aug 23, 2009, 08:58 AM

Hmm... Xbox or PS3... hard decision for me :p

I'm leaning towards the 360 myself, but since my brother is a 360 fanboy I'm playing devils advocate to see if I can justify getting a ps3 if I did :)

    Morning bear and unky.

Since your talking gaming, what's the best choice for hand held?

My son will be 6 and wants a DS. But I see they have a DSi now. Or is there something better?
  • Aug 23, 2009, 09:13 AM

    Hi sunny :)

Personally id think the ds/ds lite was better, the only difference with the DSi is that I think it can access the internet (I think, ill have to check up on that) and it has a camera and voice recording, and you can mess about with those, but other than that I can't think of any others, unky is more of the hand held gamer :)

The DSi is the newest. I have a DS, and I'm satisfied with that. I also have Game Boy Advance cartridges, which can be used in the DS. However, the DSi does not have a slot for GBA cartridges, so... If your son doesn't have or like any GBA cartridges, then, you can go for a DSi. The main additional feature is the camera, with which you can play :)

And in reply to Bear's post, yes, the DSi can connect directly to the net, like a mini laptop :)

Explore Nintendo DSi - Discover the many features of the portable game system, then dive deeper.

Ahh, right, thanks unky, I was pretty sure it did (usually anything that has a little 'i' on the end does) :)

Ya I noticed the internet and camera thing when I was trying to compare. But he is only 6 so he doesn't need that. But then again if I am going to invest in it I should get the better one. But I wasn't sure. Really he doesn't need all the fancy things so maybe I will stick with just the cheaper. Wasn't so sure. Big price difference!

Really? How much? In Mauritius, the DSi is not yet commercialised (always a year or two late on everything :()

If I were in your shoes sunny id do the same, weigh up what it is that you and your son want from it, then see which is closer :)

Well there is a DSi package, not sure what's in it, but it was about $169.00. Compared to just a DS its about $80 more I believe if I checked it out right.

Damm the US and their cheap prices :(

Jeez, maybe I could buy things and mail them to you. Might almost be cheaper sometimes.

You mean 89 USD? OMG That's awfully cheap! I got my DS for about 120 USD...
  • Aug 23, 2009, 09:47 AM
    88sunflower
Well I was guessing the prices went down since a new one came out. I don't know. Of course I am only starting to look so maybe I was looking at the right thing.

What's the difference between the DS and what bear said, the elite?

Lol, sounds like a plan :D

    Lol! Not elite! :p

First came the Nintendo DS, then the Nintendo DS Lite, then (actually the latetest, as far as I know), the Nintendo DSi.

The DS, dual screen, microphone, wireless included, touch screen, DS and GBA slots.
The DS lite, same as DS, but additional features, contrast adjustable and 'slimer'
The DSi, same as DS lite, except there's no GBA slot, but there is camera, you can connect to the net, you have a slot for Mini SD, you can record sounds (songs, etc)

    This is a DS

    http://screenburnfest.com/2008/wp-co...do-ds-lite.jpg

This a DS lite, (which you can get in many different colours :) )

Unky said before that his DS has a port for Game Boy advanced cartridges, I don't think the DS lite has them, though one again I'm not entirely sure on that :)

If you can see well Bear, you'll find a rectangle outline on the base of the DS lite, which you posted. I've got a DS lite actually, not only DS ;) and mine is black. When you close the console, the upper cover is dark blue, and I love it the way it is :)

So in all my air headedness, which would be the better buy. From what I am getting out of it, he doenst need the camera and other nonsense so the DSi would be out.
I am really not this simple!
