Then decided to write to a friend who's baby daughter was diagnosed with autism a few months ago. They are having a "Walk for Lily" (and autism) Sept 7. I did some research for him though, so I had to tell him before I went to bed.

I continue to realize that "I know nothing." And need to be "renewed" constantly. AND 16 hours together in the car round trip, well let's just say she is an amazing "teacher."
I was up until 4 am this morning going through 318 emails, mostly work related. Didn't get up until 11:30 this morning. No one was here, Marta left me a note saying that she knew I was tired and that she went shopping with sis-in-law for some "goodies." But let me tell you that your pineapple upside down cake for a breakfast sounds scrumptious! Pass me another piece please... and coffee... .yes COFFEE!!!! (With hazelnut creamer of course... )

Funny story...
This trip I decided that it was going to be about Marta. She gets along with my family so well and they all love each other like sisters and brothers. So, a lot of nice... and funny... things happened.
My sister and brother in law and us went to the Steelers last day of practice at St Vincent's College in Latrobe, Pa. IT WAS extremely hot, we watched practice had some food and we were going to try to get some autographs. I got Marta a tee shirt that said "Steelers Practice at......." and a Steelers ball cap. Remember Marta has been here for about 20 years but she is from Europe and has not grown up with American Football. So, we waited until practice was over and the players were leaving the field. But there were thousands of people standing at the rope on the field and it looked like she would have no chance of getting even one autograph. She looked a little sad, but on her own she worked her way through the crowd to the rope. AND she started yelling like a banshee she ended up with 5 autographs, one was Hines Ward... he was just amazed with her enthusiasm! He stood there for about 10 minutes talking with her, he signed her tee shirt and her cap.
Now, remember that I am not particularly a jealous person... yep. But he seemed especially interested in her AND I was standing right beside her... he didn't even look at me... hmmmmm? But that was OK... she was delighted and was like a teenager with a rock star... She turned to me jumping up and down, extremely happy. Then with all seriousness she asked me... "is he important??????"
She was terrific, I was ROFLOL... when I told her.. "well....YEAH!" She ran around showing everyone her autographs...
Got to love this girl... lots of other funny things... later.:D

It sounds like Marta was having a BLAST, Silly String! I'm glad you guys had such a good time. That was a funny story... I could just imagine it in my head while I was reading it! :D
