Don't know if you all have heard that Ed McMan (sp) died yesterday, Farrah Faccet (sp) this morning and 15 minutes ago it was reported that Michael Jackson has died...
They say that things happen in threes...
This may be a bit ignorant of me but who are Ed McMan (sp) died yesterday, Farrah Faccet (sp)?
Reet
American Celebrities
Ed McMahon was a television host for decades, a sidekick for Johnny Carson on "The Tonight Show," and a spokesman for Publisher's Clearinghouse sweepstakes.
Farrah Fawcett was an actress and the subject of what TMZ.com calls "the most popular pin-up of all time."
If you don't know who Michael Jackson was, I envy you.
Of course I know who michael jackson is, brilliant music :)
Man that blows my mind. I used to stay up late and watch Johnny Carson and obviously Ed McMahon and to realize how famous he was just 15 years ago or so a man who was a house hold name isn't even known a generation later. Life goes on but you'd think someone like that, who was in homes every night long before I was even born for a generation before me isn't even known to those coming up behind me.
Chuff, news flash, The next generation won't know who we are.
Heck, the next generation will look at this site and wonder how we ever survived with such lame technology.
I can just hear my children telling their kids "When I was young we didn't have hover crafts. Our cars had tires and drove on the ground".
Yup, shoot me now!
And the car didn't drive itsself, we actually had to listen to the sat nav... what do you mean what's a sat nav!
Seriously, kill me now!
My kids are still flabbergasted that tv's were in black and white when I was a child and we only had three channels and no remote.
VCR's were new, my family was the last in all of the world to get one! My dad kept waiting for newer technology, didn't want to buy too soon. DVD's, who would have thought that was possible? Digital camera? I still can't get used to that.
I feel really old. :(
Wow, even we had a color TV. When I was young we lived in Minnesota, right outside the Twin Cities and we had a lot of channels. Then we moved to Michigan and we had none. Literally none. Everyone had cable and my dad would try and hold those stupid rabbit ears and be so proud if he would pick up static with a mild signal.
Actually that would be my dad. In fact, to tell you how times have changed, I think you can get a VCR for $10 or $20 at Wal Mart. When I was a kid, if we behaved my dad would RENT a VCR... Yes I said RENT a VCR from the video store. The shame I feel right now.
My dad was just cheap.
Your just 12.
