Our health care is definitely less expensive, but, depending on where you live, winter's are definitely hard here!

I'm originally from Germany, moved here when I was 3 1/2 years old. I'm still not use to the winters. They suck! ;)

I want to visit Germany someday. I heard from a woman that came from there a couple of years ago that German is not spoken as much as English is. I took a couple years of German in High School. I'm a little rusty though

Germany is beautiful, so much to see. I miss it, and my family too.

I speak fluent German, but I've gotten rusty too since my parents died.

I haven't been back since 2001 but we're planning a trip in the next year or two.

Most of the people in Germany speak English, it depends on where you go. If you go to the smaller towns then you'll have to speak German, but the tourist spots you can get by on English.

Yeah right! The Sheriff 'collects' things like; rings, whips...

Germany is beautiful, but I had to wear a sweatshirt and a jacket to a 4th of July cookout.

    That was kind of weird.

I still have no idea about any ring Sir! I swear there was a ghost around at the time. I hear it is haunted around here.

Sure. Hop into my suitcase, don't make a sound, shhhh, I don't want to get busted!

It is a lot more fun if you're with someone, especially if that someone speaks the language. ;)

It won't be a cheap trip, but it's so worth it. If we can't afford the whole family going then I'm going alone, I need to see my family! So you can come with, I'll show you the sights, I know all the hidden places. ;)

Really? Wow, when I went it was boiling hot, hot enough to cook an egg on the sidewalk! Wow!

Stringer, what do I have to do to get you to forget about the ring and give me back my whip?

    Will this do?

I'm sure speaking the language helps but I did okay with the point, smile and nod technique.

Would love to go back and do the Rhine cruise.

I'm about ready to retire to my room for a nap. I will be around until 5 which is only 40 more minutes. Then I won't be back until 6 in the morning. That seems to be when those mysterious things happen!

Ya, I can't believe it either, I haven't been pulled over in years (knock on wood) and all of a sudden bam, I get busted! At least he let me off with a warning, I may have to send him a Valentines day card. ;)

Of course I flirted my little arse off, maybe that helped.

So hop in, I've got the lead foot, we'll make a run for it! :)

    YOU TOO ALTY!!

    I GOT PULLED OVER TODAY!

Yeah, I was speeding too... cop gave me a "written warning"... which... means nothing. Not a ticket, it's just the written version of a verbal warning.

... I went 90 in a 55 zone... I should have lost my license today, but I get the feeling the cop didn't have the radar on me, and kind of took a wild guess how fast I was going.

He said, "Do you know how fast you were going?"

I replied, "I know I was over the limit, but not really, how fast was I going, officer?"

He replied with vexation, "TOO FAST! SLOW IT DOWN!"

    ... heehee

Ya, that and I called him handsome. I know, I feel cheap, but it got me out of a ticket, it would have been an expensive one too, I was going 20km over the limit.

My bad, sorry, I'll take whatever punishment you all dish out. Bring it on! :D

Not fair! I had to flirt my way out of it, you just get off without doing anything?

I had to work for it baby, it wasn't easy. I'm in sweat pants and a sweat shirt, no makeup on, heck, I don't know if I've even brushed my hair today and I still got off. Hmmmm, I'm good! :D

Well, since it IS my day off, I was wearing some decent clothing, a sweater with a blazer, and I had a chance to shave today... so I'd say I looked pretty darn good.

Granted, the officer wasn't that receptive to my flirting... he wasn't in the mood...
