That's for sure... we only do what we can!
I on the other hand am not using my human power and am sitting on my buns...
I do need to get something in the oven... something yummy for when the kids get off the bus... Hmmmmmm
I ran out of baking soda, this might be hard to figure out!

Sorry about that start.. I have some but can't send it through.

I never do without my Arm&Hammer Baking powder and soda. I don't bake much, but it's also great for heartburn and brushing teeth. I hate foaming toothpaste with artificial taste, so a box is always in my house.

For sinus problems due to allergies, colds and plain stuffy noses, the best is still a spoon full of Horseraddish - and a lot better than pharmaceuticals.

If you have a collection of dolls, silk flowers and other decorations that are hard to keep dustfree and clean - two cups of regular salt in a plastic bag, enter item and close with air included. Then shake and watch the salt turn gray and your decorations get clean.

Just a few of Chery's household hints.

http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/3/3_4_103.gifThen relax, have a cup and enjoy the view.

    Wow, great thanks!
I normally wouldn't be without the baking soda either... I use it in the laundry and to scrub stuff clean.;)
I got my coffee, and as long as I put my face really close to the puter, I will be enjoying the view.Heehee

Chery you gave me such a giggle, thank you sweetie.:)

I spent the last half hour playing with Sydney and fixing one of her stuffed animals, her favorite. I feel great, the stuffie made it out of surgery and is now in recovery, I am officially a surgeon, and according to Sydney "Super mom". Life is good. :)

Thank goodness for me and my handy dandy sewing skills, poor stuffy had a hole and needed some more stuffing. Sydney was so concerned, it was so cute, she kept talking to the stuffy as it was getting stuffed, kept telling it that it would be okay and that she'd be there, not to worry. I saw my reflection in her, the way she sees me, let me tell you, it felt pretty darn good. The frown from this morning has been officially turned upside down, way upside down. :):):):):)

I can tell you my dads 2 favorite show right now, "Take Home Chef" and "Cash Cab" and I remember one night he was watching THC and they were making A Chocolate Soufflee That actually looked quite nice. So I told my mom "semi avid baker" and she was like, Heck we can put those in muffin pans and have little souffless, so now I gota go searching through the show and find that recipe again XD

    So far , so good...

I have to put together two business proposals and get some additional pricing for another client. That should take about a hour, then I hope to get outside; trim the grass around the house and edge the driveway and sidewalks...

But I have to wait until the cleaning people are finished cleaning my house...

    Joe, Hello...hello....hello....

Oh start... I just love House too. Whoever came up with that idea is a genius. Wouldn't it be great if there were real diagnosticians like that around?

Most doctors today treat the acute symptoms and neglect the chronic ones - but that's micromanagement worldwide at expense of us all.

I always advise everyone to have a history of illnesses, symptoms and meds ready for any new doctor's visit - and not to forget anything. Sometimes, they connect as in a puzzle.

The last 'idiot' I went to saw me for five minutes, didn't want to look at my history and gave me a questionnaire to fill out. He's the one who prescribed the opium patch that made things worse. Guess what I did with his questionnaire?

There is an internet site here that you can go to to 'rate' the doctors that you visited... needless to say, I have it in my links and use it often. We have to fight back somehow.

Oh Chery I'm so sorry. I'm lucky, have a wonderful doctor. He's not a pill pusher, he always tries to find another way to go before prescribing pills, he's very thorough, no complaint is left unchecked, and my kids adore him (probably because he has a big box of lollipops in his office). I started going to him when I was pregnant with Jared, and he is by far the best doctor I've ever had. Sad thing is, he's 66 years old and thinking of retiring soon. His daughter is in med school right now, he is planning on waiting until she's done and than passing his practice down to her, I hope she's her fathers daughter. :)

How is everyone today? It's still raining her and my wee little Sydney is very sick. She was up all night with a fever and complaining of tummy pain and a headache. Poor wee mite, I always feel so helpless when they are sick, wish I could take the pain away.

Yes, I have a good doctor also, a kindly old soul, the nice doctor you used to see on TV, long ago, no not House. (Although I really like House to Chery).

Alty... I hope the children get well soon, been a while hasn't it?

So see you all later, off to do more trimming and cutting in the yard, it's looking pretty fiiiiiiiine now.

Hi Stringer, wish you could stay on for a while. I'll talk to you later though. Oh, I love the show "house" too, it's my favorite, love his attitude.

I won't be trimming or mowing anything outside for a while, it's still raining. I am happy though, we put fertilizer on the lawn on Sunday and it started raining Monday, is that good timing or what?

Didn't leave as yet, in a minute. I think it is good to have it rain after you put it down Alty. I do know that it isn't good to do it when the grass is wet but after is fine.

Marta is on her way home, we are going to throw a couple steaks on the grill on the patio and she is going to make some hot baked beans with American Cheese mixed in (I love that-although she only lets me have it about twice a month. Want to guess why?? )

AK; where are you? This is for you and me dear & I'll include R also::D :D :D

Just finished having a snack with the kids. Sydney seems to be doing a bit better, still feverish, but not in pain, so that's good. I hope she gets a good night sleep tonight, I hope I do too. :)

As for the beans and cheese Stringer, well, my guess would be that it causes it teeny bit of gas build up. I love beans too, but not the side effects, because, dang, I can't stand myself afterwards. ;)
