What goes up but never comes down
What goes up but never, ever comes down?

AGE. It can stop at any given point and it can increase, but not come down.

    Happy711,

    Here's another simple riddle:

How far into a Forrest does a team of Forrester's have to walk to coming out of the Forrest?

Halfway. And I know why... anyone care to take a guess? Besides you, donf :)

Oh my goodness, they are already at the end of the forrest... so none? Come on tell us??
  • May 6, 2008, 08:04 AM
    Alty
This is why people go crazy! Please tell us! Ahhhhhhh! ;)

You can only walk halfway into the forest. If you go any farther than that, you're walking out again.

Startover 22 is spot on. One step into the forrest and your are on your way out of the forrest.

Jeesh, now I feel a bit dumb. I'm going to go read an encyclopedia or something. ;)

    Okay, one more.

Mickey is in a room with no windows and one door on the South Facing wall. Where was Mickey when the light's went out.

Contributed by my niece, Chase (six years old)

By the light switch? Door on the South facing wall? I don't know...
  • May 6, 2008, 09:22 AM
    Alty
I like Starty's answer, I'm sticking with you Starty! Light switch, yup.

    Correction,

My six year old niece, Chase, got us all! She gave me a few more, but I'm to embarrassed to put them out to the world, well I'll give you all one more.

Mickey (Mouse) is wearing a black shirt and red pants, white sneakers and orange optically corrected sun glasses. He is standing adjacent to the Red Sea with a rock in his hand.

With all his strength, he skims the rock out onto the surface of the Red Sea. What becomes to the surface of the rock, after it comes to rest?

Wet? I am afraid to answer...
  • May 7, 2008, 09:59 AM
    Alty
I am too, wet sounds good, but it's probably wrong. ;)
  • May 7, 2008, 10:05 AM
    donf
Wet is the correct answer. See, all we have to do is think like six year old toy people!

    startover22
I am sooooo excited! I got it right!! YAY!
Alty, you are too dang funny, you doubted me... (I would too);)
  • May 7, 2008, 10:11 AM
    Alty
I didn't doubt you Starty, never, always believe in you sweetie. :)

Hee, hee, I actually ended up asking my five year old the question after I posted, she said wet too. It's amazing, kids always look for the simple answer, we, as adults, always think the simple answer is too simple and spend hours looking for something that isn't there. When did we become so jaded? ;)

When we started carrying all the trouble and misery in our own worlds on our shoulders?
  • May 7, 2008, 10:17 AM
    Alty
Very true donf, oh to once again have the innocence of a child, the world would be a better place, wouldn't it?

Okay, I'm ready for the next riddle, I've got my 5 year old beside me so bring it on! ;)
