    Proxy server
    I am not sure but I may be traveling to China for a bit, well I am informed that many web sites are blocked, but it is at times some what random.

    I was also told that I can still get to many web sites from China using a "proxy" or PNP or PNN ( something like that, they were talking faster than I could make notes)

    We did some "ping" test of some popular sites I use and of course many were showing signal lost. ( including this site on one server out of 10 or 12)

    So can someone explain this in ENGLISH to me, or some links that would give me the info of what I need to do.

    It is China you will be a guest in their country so abide by their laws and costumes. If you feel that a web site is so important to you do not go to China. OK so censorship is not a good thing this is a case where you live with it or don't visit.

    It is OK if you don't know, I will wait for a expert with knowledge in this area.

    Also there is a issue of phone, I know currently systems like Skype sill currently work but there are threats to close it, so do systems like Skype worth when using proxy servers
