    Repair of mahagony table
Accidentally spilled a few drops of nail polish remover on a round Mahogany table bottom tier, which dimensions are 15 inch round.
I tried a STAIN in that same color, but this did not work; seemed not to take. The spots still show up.
Any suggestion on some type PAINT I could buy to paint the entire tier.
    Thank You.

It's not easy but I have done furniture touchups this way. You find a flat latex paint in the color of the base wood. Then, use either colored varnish to match the other wood or a stain over the paint. You can wipe it to give it a grain or use a graining tool. When you are happy with the color, use poly varnish or lacquer wood. I just did a window that was white, painted with a yellow brown paint, stained with Minwax and poly over that. Looks like a wood window. Google Faux wood finishes. Here's one to start.
