I'm not sure what you are asking. If you have no insurance you can't file a claim.

You say your car insurance has not been paid since you relocated (and I have no way of knowing when that was) BUT it has not lapsed.

    What?

    Hello L:

Sure. If they don't think you're covered because you haven't paid, they'll tell you.

Then you have coverage - submit the claim.

They'll either approve or deny, depending on your coverage.

    Hello L:

If you "transferred" your insurance, then you SPOKE with your insurance company. However, I'm having trouble with that...

If you had, indeed, spoken to them, you wouldn't be asking US if you're covered. You'd KNOW you're covered. Why DID you ask us, instead of them?

Car insurance is based on WHERE you live. If you've moved to a different location, the insurance issued for ONE location wouldn't be the same insurance issued for ANOTHER, location, and it DOESN'T "transfer". Therefore, if you DIDN'T inform your insurance company of your move, then you might not be covered.

I'm confused by the "policy was transferred" language. I'm guessing - and it's just a guess based on what's been posted - that she did advise the company, there is an additional premium due, she hasn't been billed for it and, thus, hasn't paid it.

If that's the situation she would still have valid insurance.
