I am at present studying honours in Bachelor of Medical Science at ANU holding visa 573 (higher education student visa) before 8th Feb, 2010. Earlier my occupation may be as biochemist or life scientist. I came to know that I can apply for 485 visa through transitional arrangement. I am not clear whether I will be eligible to apply for PR, although my occupation is not included in the new SOL. If I obtain work experience as a biochemist/life scientist, whether I will be eligible then to apply. Pl help.

My name is manish and I have applied my PR subclass 866 (sisters sponsorship on jan 30 2009) am also currently working as service desk specialist at one big organization.My professional is IT (computer science majored in software engineering).Will this new rule effect me as well.If yes what are the ways I can avoid it.

Hi, I already have a TR 485... want to apply for permanent visa... do I need to have bandscore of 8 on each component of IELTS to pass requirement or is the bandscore of 8 as an average is enough?
