Can I receive my passport if on probation?
I will be placed on 1 yr non judicated probation in Tx for burglary of a building next week. Long story but really I'm no thief. However I was in wrong place at wrong time. I have been planning a trip to Turkey early next year and was just planning to turn in my passport application next week. I know I would have to obtain permission to go, but will this stop me from even receiving my passport?
January is when we were going to plan the specifics for the trip. 15 days was the plan. I will truly be crushed if I can't go because for over a year this is the one thing I have been looking forward to.

You can get a passport, but you may or may not get a visa to enter their nation.

    Hello Cherice:

    I would say NO.

Look, it's really easy to run an NCIC criminal computer check. I don't know if they'd run it, or I don't know if they'd connect the dots after they did. The question is would they? I actually think they would.

But the government doesn't care what I think. They're often times really, really, dumb.
