Coleman furnace anticipator settings for model # EB23B
My husband just replaced our thermostat and he is unable to find the correct setting for the anticipator. Would you happen to know what this should be set on? Thanks!

No. But sometimes this setting or current draw number is on the wiring diagram on the furnace. Most if not all professionals use a meter to take a reading of the entire thermostat cable running to the thermostat to get a complete and accurate number to use for setting the heat anticipator.

Here is a complete install manual for the EB series units. See page 9 for thermostat install and base anticipator setting. This will get you by but it is not as accurate as the use of a meter. Setting (0.4 AMPS)

Thank you very much. Seems we have another problem now. The heat blows as long as it is on but, when you put it on auto it doesn't blow. You can hear the furnace trying to come on put it doesn't. Any ideas?

Look at figure 22 on page 16 of the above manual. You will see where the W (white) wire from the thermostat goes to the sequencer (H2). The sequencer controls not only the heat coils but also the blower motor in the automatic mode. So your problem could be the thermostat you messed with

Or a bad connection between the thermostat W wire to the H2 terminal on the sequencer or the sequencer itself is defective.

Usually it would be very rare for a sequencer to go bad at just the exact time a thermostat was changed so I would revisit all your wiring and hookups. If you have a meter and know how to use it you can check to see if 24 volts is at the H2 sequencer terminal when the system is in the heat mode. For the other meter leed just pick up ant good cabinet ground.
