You need to look at the system type option.
I think that one is your problem, shold be on conventinal heat with ac
Well I think I got everything correct
There are 4 screen that match my setup
1. Use setting 1 if you have Gas, oil or electric heating with central airconditioning
3. use setting 0 if you have a gas or oil heating system
5. Use setting 5 if you have a standard gas or oil furnace that is less than 90% efficiant.
14. Use setting 0 if you want your temperature to be displayed in F.
Those 4 setting I got on my termostat saved but not able to turn on AC
OK set 1 to 0
Set 3 to 0
Set 5 to 3
1 is on 0
And 3 is on 0
5 is on 5
And 14 is on 0
OK then the t-stat shold be set up fine. Lets see what else we can try
Was yellow used on the old t-stat?
Yes yellow was used in the old one every color except for blue
OK take the front of the t-stat off so you can see the wires. Then we will do some tests
Taken off I can see the wires
OK with a pair of needle nose plyers, or a wire touch between r and g and see if the fan comes on.
Well here is the problem, I can't turn off the furness/fan from the t-stat, I have to turn it off by the switch, now when I do that and touch those wires the fan can't come on or can it?
With the t-stat off so you can see the wires when you turn the furnace switch back on nothing should run if it does then you have a problem at the furnace.
Yes when the t-stat off I can see the wires, I go back and turn on the switch the furnest starts working,
What could be wrong with it?
Take the red wire off the r terminal and try it then an tell me if it runs
THIS IS GETTING OUT OF HAND GUYS!
Furnace type is Gas with AC. Correct?
Blue wire was not used. Correct?
XXXX Yellow Red White Green
Yellow___ -
Red__________-
White_____________-
Green___________________-
I want you to complete this table by connecting only two wires. The "-" ed entries don't complete. The "_" is there because AMHD reduces multiple spaces to one space.
One of the following should happen. Put the number in the proper place.
1. Nothing happens
2. AC unit alone turns on
3. Fan turns on
4. Heat turns on & Fan turns on eventually
With the red wire off the furnest runs when I turn on the switch
KeepItSimpleStupid
I don't understand what you want me to do
