    Carrier furnace will not ignite
Carrier furnace, won't ignite. It goes through the 3 attempts.. nothing. I'm not seeing a spark, it doesn't have a pilot..

Are you sure it is spark igniion? Some furnaces use a hot surface ignitor which glows to light the burners. A model number might help.

Looks like it's a 58ST-2SI. I'm looking at the Carrier booklet. The furnace has an igniter similar to a gas grille..

I just noticed that the red light blinks 4 times slowly, then 3 times rapidly.. then starts over the cycle again, blinks 4 slow, 3 fast... don't know if this means anything..

There should be a key to the blink code somewhere. It is usually on the inside of one of the doors or on the ignition control itself.

Repair man replace the flame sensor.. $130 for the service. This was something I could have done if I had known where this part was.. very obvious once your know.. and easy to replace. I'll know next time.
