Why would my hairstylist cut some of the top of my head before giving me a perm
I have had a total of three perms. The first one I loved and it lasted for 6 months then I got a new one. The second one was not near as curl and fell out very fast I had to get a new one in 3 months, when I was getting it done I asked if my hair was OK to get one since it had only been 3 month I didn't want my hair frizzy or to fry it. He said let me see here do you care if I take some off the top? (cut some off the top) he did this before I got the perm can you tell me why? Its cut pritty short but it blends in and you can't even see it, I just want to know why he did it. The perm looks good and after he was done he trimmed my ends, so why did he cut some of the top of my head before he gave me a perm, to make it last longer, or so it wouldn't hurt my hair as bad why?
    Thanks in advance

Well, most of the time a hair stylist cuts your hair to either get rid of split ends or to make it even. At the same time, you might have damaged that part of your hair with a previous perm. I'm a barber and all I can tell you is, STICK with ONE hairstylist. :)
