Okay so first off I have red hair/straw berry blonde hair too! I used to hate it until about a month ago I saw some pictures of celebs with really nice hair that color like lindsey lohan and miley cyrus when she had red hair. Remember that there are 6.billion people on this planet, of that, only 2% of them are naturally redhead. Don't make the mistake of dying my hair brown (IT TURNED OUT BLACK) and now I will never really be as ginger as I was again:(

But if you really want to get rid of it... u can mix baking soda with shampoo that should fade it:) and also use head and shoulders shampoo and conditioner. It takes out color alott. Worked for me. Also I never tried a product called "color oops". But I heard great reviews about it. So you can try that if you want. Good luck. I have the same problem. I am ginger/red hair. And I died it "medium ash brown" and I left it in too long so now its black. I'm trying to fade it because the red was beautiful. These are working for mee. Again good luck:)

And also I heard washing your hair with dawn dish soap will fade your color. Lol by the time you read this you will probably had your hair bak to normal by noww. Its like 4 years later. Haha but use these tips in the future. Remember that strawberry blonde hair makes you unique. And that it is scientificly proven that redheads have more sex than blondes and brunettes:)

If you go to sally's you'll find a small box of color corrector. I forget the name of it but if you ask I'm sure the clerk will help you. It comes with two little bottles Step 1 and Step 2, you mix a small cap of each with a small bit of shampoo. It works wonderfully!

Well I'm in the same situation, I was blonde now brown I used semi permanent die too, but my mom has a friend who is a hair dresser and she told me to use clarifying shampoo and bicarbonate soda (just one tea spoon) it worked a treat for me.
One was and my natural hair colour was coming therw already! I think if you kept doing that then it will do the trick.

I tried all these steps and saw a slight difference. I'm going to do this for a whole week and hopefully I will have my natural hair back. I had dirty blonde hair and died it red. It was only semi-permanent and it has faded to a orangy brown. It was supposed to be gone by 28 washes but it has lasted twice as long! So I want my blonde back, and hopefully this will work after a while. :)

Head & Shoulders or any medicamented shampoo without tar. Tar worsen a color but sulfate would fade it. Everyday before school begins, then use a treatment when it's faded enough. A hair color remover will damage your hair and you don't know how will come out the next color you'll choose. Because your hair looks pinkish, go to a salon and let the hairdress pick the right tone for you. I had psoriasis on my scalp a good part of my life and I assure you that medicamented shampoo (except TGel and other tar shampoo) literally remove a hair color in a week. If you can't afford a hair treatment, use mayonnaise or hot oil 2 or twice before to have another color done to your hair. Good luck. :)

Baking soda - an dandruff shampoo - helps fade it out three times as fast /
Wash your hair with both or either/
    Works like a charm-
No don't go to salon and over process your hair more and let them strip it!
    Never strip your hair!

DO NOT GO TO A SALON! I tried this I have natural dirty blond hair that I use to be able to wash and go - never dry or use any products to get it straight. I dyed my hair dark brown. After years I got tired of it and went to a salon for them to remove my dye. After the "professional" stripped my hair 2xs in the same session. 15 years later my hair is still damaged and has never been the same. I now have to blow dry my hair, use a straight iron every time and sometimes use oil to keep the frizz down. The "professional" damaged my hair so much that my cuticles of my hair are damaged beyond repair for it to last this many years of growing out. DON'T GO TO A PROFESSIONAL!

Use Olive Oil, heat it to a warm touch, put it on your hair leave it on for about 30-1 hour and rinse, shampoo then condition and you will have much lighter color in your hair. It works I have done it many times and it also conditions my hair.

I had darkish blonde hair and wanted to go lighter blonde so I dyed it but it went a ginger color, so I dyed it a dark brown color to try and hide the ginger, it isn't as noticabally ginger but you can still see the ginger roots and I don't like this color at all, it looks so ginger in the light:/ suggestions?
