Do you understand the term troll? It's someone who comes on a site like this to cause trouble and push a personal agenda. From this and other threads, you have many of the characteristics of a troll.

To answer your question, the US economy is built on a free market. We are a capitalistic society and socialism is not a very popular subject. So socialized medical care, not "free" medical care, is not popular.

As to spending money on the military instead of health care, you are taking a complex issue and trying to put it in it's worst light. But consider this; the money that the government spends on the military goes mostly to companies that provide jobs to US citizens, jobs that provide health insurance. Jobs that generate tax revenue.

So, if you are here to do nothing but attack the US under the guise of asking questions, you can take your act somewhere else. I don't know if you are really has naïve as you sound, or just pretty dense.

You should at least get your facts straight. Here are the actual numbers: for Fiscal year 2010 the US Federal Government spent $1029 Billion on health care, and $685 Billion on defense.

This is a relgious debate section on the web site so I thought most people would be religious, or if not interested in religion and those ideals. Like me I'm not religious but I find the subject very interesting, religon, polotics and any idiology are all interesting subjects. I'm not trying to brand everyone as religious.
