Hi,
I have planted some tomatoes in some self watering pots. Recently a neighbours cat chased a cane toad in our yard and it managed to escape and was hiding in the bottom of the self watering pot. It has now made this home but my question is if the toad secrets poison into the water will the affect the tomatoes and will they be safe to eat.
I have read that if a cane toad secrets poison into a pets water it will make them sick does the same apply to a plant's fruit? I believe the toad would have secreted poison since it was being chased at the time. Any help would be appreciated.
