Ooo. Personally I think they do sleep but not in the way humans and animals do... how else could you explain things like seeds being able to go "dormant" for years at a time. :D

I bet the guy at the store might know what's good for your climate. I always try a couple different varieties, just to see what happens.:)

Fridays paper said that since we have had such cool weather in June...
50-60 night 75-85 day that our toms will be about 2 weeks late this year.:(

Maybe this hundred degree weather will off set that.:)

B, I was able to cobble up this list of toms that do well from the 49th parallel on up.

Check with your farm supply if they can get them in for you.

I'm going tomorrow to check my farm supply shop to see what they can get and if I can't get what I want I'm pretty sure that I could find them online and order them :D Ohh don't you love the net

I was at K Mart today to get some flip flops for my husband and found a good sized 'Celebrity Hybrid' I bought it and put it far far away from the other tomatoes.

I pruned it according to the site that K provided, lets see what happens:rolleyes:

I never heard of rhubarb loaf, I have only used it in jams. What does it taste like?:confused:

It's 106 right now, had to come in from the back because the radio reminded me it wasn't safe to be working in the heat.:eek:

It's 110.2 right now :eek: and will be getting hotter for another hour!:eek:

I have no news besides that. I can't cook (too much heat for the house), can't paint {too many fumes (no windows open)}

I live my life outside and I can't even go there.:(

You probably don't even feel like making anything.

But if you have fruits or veggies mix them with yogurt, ice cream or even salad dressing.

From the "It may sound strange department" I've been known to eat cold soup right out of the can. Just watch the ones like chicken noodle that has the fat still on top, pour it off and eat.

Well, I think that could be the worst for you and me too. We don't have any or much humidity here, so it's just hot hot hot.

In Chicago where I come from I wouldn't be able to handle 90 with the humidity:eek:

I can handle 100 or a little more for short amounts of time here.:)

I've been out in the yard this past week without a shirt and for the first time in a long while I got a mild sunburn on my back and shoulders... tingles a little bit, and the skin feels leathery or tight.

It sure feels good though when the DW puts the noxzema on. :)

I'm going to float around the site check back in a few... k

p.s... BB loves the heat here, and he's up to 14 toms, with more coming.
